Matthew Wade - 34 tests, averaging 30.8
Adam Voges - 20 tests, dropped averaging 60.9
Why is it ok to persist with mediocrity under crazy eyes Langer?
When the coach is mediocre then why not the players?

Softened them up for England who will still capitulate to a 4-0 loss
Victorians sure love James Pattinson

81 wickets at 26 as well as averaging 26 with the bat. If he could have stayed fit it would have been interesting what the fast bowler order would have beenVictorians sure love James Pattinson
Better bowling average than Starc, with a red ball its quite better! Yet Starc is still first choice for so many because they seem willing to accept his mediocre bowling spells like yesterday when things aren't going well as they'll play a pink ball test eventually and suddenly people think he's the greatest bowler in the world.
Starc is not accurate lol. Unless he gets the inswinging Yorker to the right-hander going he's just bowling various lines and lengths all over the place. Patto is definitely a better bowler with the red ballStarc has 253 @27.15 - that average is close & done it over longer career.
I don't think Pattinson is as skillful or accurate as the top 3. Starc can run hot & cold but offers variety with left arm & can crank it to 150km
So likely Bumrah, Vihari and Jadeja out.
No reason why we shouldn’t be rotating our seamers for this game. Neser and Abbot? For Starc and Cummins/Hazlewood.
Harris in for Pucovski
Poms will struggle in India for sure.
The return series in England mid year should be fantastic though (assuming it goes ahead).
Parochial much? Langer seems like a bit of a tosser but as a coach, couldn’t have done much more. Took over a rabble, made them competitive, then got them winning, then retained the Ashes. Done more than enough to stick with him. When the coach is mediocre then why not the players?

Take out games Sri Lanka, Day Night and West Indies games his average dropsOr 28.98 with a red ball v Patto 26.3

Starc is just a left handed Tait fast and eractic only thing going his way is the angle and the occasional inswinging Yorker however against competent batsman it doesn't workOr a fair comparison for this series, against India Patto averages 25, Starc 35
Starc is a frustration at times, but his test record is better than Tait's FC record. They're not in the same ball park.Starc is just a left handed Tait fast and eractic only thing going his way is the angle and the occasional inswinging Yorker however against competent batsman it doesn't work
Wade's a good bloke. Supposedly.

Starc had actually had his best run in tests recently, he looked way off the pace in sydney but he has actually put up very good numbers since the ashes.
I think patto at his best is better but he is injured non stop so his opportunities are of course going to be very limited even now he isnt a legit option because yet again he is injured.
yeah woops misread it, sozHuh? I clearly stated he won't be.
I don't think he should be. He's still the best gloveman in the country and he's batting is more than adequate for a keeper.
Wait - Pattinson better than Starc? F*** me HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA oh wow AHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA
If Pattinson’s body held up he would have been a much better bowler than Starc.
People forget how good he was vs India all those years ago.
Fate can be cruel.
Starc is a pie chucker against decent competition

I wonder how Neser would go at the Gabba of whether we should go Patto
Paine lowered his colours today but he's had a pretty good series. He must play the final test. Also who else do we give the captaincy too? Not sure we can give it to Smith or Warner, and Labs seems to be on the outer circle of the team (not sure he's leadership material)
Pattinson/Neeser in for Starc
Head in for Wade (or Pucovski if he's not fit)
