Pucovski just made a double ton opening.
And sam whiteman is killing it as well...3 tons in his last 4 games...Harris good double
Lots of options Burns is under the pump

Pucovski just made a double ton opening.
Probably gets there by default at the minute. Making runs against the Redbacks almost shouldn't count and should discount Harris. I say this as a South Australian.Burns has failed every dig this summer and you wouldn't say his spot is certain at the best of times.
Yeah, was just going to mention Whiteman as another possibility was well. And sam whiteman is killing it as well...3 tons in his last 4 games...Harris good double

Shaun Marsh; leading run scorer and average of 87. You know you want it.Probably gets there by default at the minute. Making runs against the Redbacks almost shouldn't count and should discount Harris. I say this as a South Australian.
They couldn't pick Bancroft again after his ton today could they?

I won't say that they wouldn't consider it. I will very confidently say that they shouldn't consider it.Its going to be a hard call I still reckon Green should be playing his batting and his bowling...he looked the most threatening WA bowler in his 3 spells....had the tassies hoping around. Greens height his bounce and pace will trouble India
Going to be hard to drop Wade.... would they consider Wade to open Green to six and Burns out ??
Its an option because at this present moment Burns is the weakest link
Absolutely agree with you on Harris. Is not a great fielder either. Don't disagree with you on that Whiteman needing to produce than he so far has.Can we not go back to Harris again yet. Whiteman needs a good year not just a few games.

Every year these types of threads are full of people stating ‘player x is in good form, let’s pick him’ when the season has been going for 2-3 games. They say form in temporary, class is permanent and imo it works both ways (ie average player might be a gun now but they won’t be next week).
Facts are that unless you’ve done it before this season (which is three games long at this point), the selectors won’t and shouldn’t pick said player and will stick with the guy who’s done it before.
Burns isn’t great but established himself last summer. I’d be shocked if he lasts the summer though.
You never know....Burns atm is struggling and there are heaps of better options than him
I just truly believe we need somehow to get Green into the team..if that means burns out wade head to open do it
Wade or Head opening in a test match? You are drunk!
If you want Green playing pick him instead of one of them, simple.
Just looking at way of getting Green into the team
There's only one shield game left before the break I think.Would love Green in the side but Wade's game today should see him safe for the first two tests. Green breathing down his neck though, especially given he's back bowling, the temptation to play him would be massive.
Burns spot was the flakiest of the team IMO and he'll need to make a score in both of his last two shield games to keep his spot. I'd pretty much take 5 other openers before him at the moment
Ahhh, I thought they were all playing 4 before the break, Burns is ****edThere's only one shield game left before the break I think.
There's an Australia A game as well.Ahhh, I thought they were all playing 4 before the break, Burns is f’ed
Burns vs Bancroft vs Harris.
The time is now to make the move, they are scoring runs. No point waiting for Pucovski and Green to lose form
Pucovski has made 1500 runs at 51 in the shield and passes 5 in every third innings. No point letting the grass growNot even close imo.
Players that are truly test standard will go back to the shield and make decent runs regardless of their form in the test arena. They may struggle for a bit but eventually class will shine through.
Pucovski has just played his first shield game of 2020. Green is only 21. There’s no rush with either of them.
