Yet all he could get was a top score in the 70’s. Burns does make test hundreds despite his poor form now. Ideally neither would be near the side but it is what is is.

No idea about the bbl to home, because Zampa is taking tonight’s game off and is playing again Dec 26. Stars last game was Dec 11 so it would leave him with one day at home and then 2 weeks quarantine, which is clearly not correct. It might be 7 days or one test I’m not sure.

Is Warner even likely to be fit for Boxing Day?

They're being very quiet on the Warner front.

If he has a decent groin strain then he'll be unlikely to play any test cricket this summer. It's a genuine 4-6 week recovery time.

It’s out of 2 of Burns, Wade and Harris.
If Green isn’t passed fit then there is no decision to be made for the selectors Burns and Harris will open.

You couldn’t possibly pick Burns could you? He’s done nothing to warrant selection other than 97 more than a year ago. Atleast Harris has tonned up in the Shield this year.

If Smith is out who are you going to replace him with,most likely find the badly out of form Burns would play.Would they look at the 2 players that got the tons in the 2nd innings of the Austraia A game.

If Smith is out, they'd just retain Burns and play Harris. So it would be...

Doesn't even open for Qld anymore. The Renshaw batting slow thing is the biggest myth in Australian cricket too, FC strike rate of 50 isn't slow.

Best time to bat in a day night test is during the day...openers have the best of it...middle order come out during the twilight harder conditions

Still a pretty good chance he'll be batting under the lights late in the day if India bat first.

Gut feeling is Burns will play. Sometimes the selectors go off “gut feel” this may. We one of them. Plus if he fails will be easier to drop him and Wade for Pucovski and Warner in Melbourne

Especially if Burns and Wade open and get runs just not sure Pucovski will play in the 2nd test,a gut feeling.
