I'm an admin on 'TheGrindersClub' it's run by professional poker player Michael Mizrachi who is sponsored by PPPPoker. It's the biggest club/union on PPPoker and has the most action with games ranging from .10/.20c to 25/50, NLH/PLO/PLO5/SNG/MTT's etc. There's around 50 active tables and thousands of players.
If you want to join just direct message me and I can walk you through it but basically it's a mobile/desktop app where you play for real money. Chips are bought through his website and normally take around 1h to come into your account.
Let me know if you are keen to join in :)
Cheers Deledio_Judd

I've just started using Ignition Casino, anyone used this before? What else is good for real money accessible in Australia?

Anyone else here play online regularly?

Been playing on ignition for a few months. Mostly tournaments and reckon it's only really worth playing in the morning when you get the most runners. So am mainly just playing on days off and weekends. Have cashed out and the coin was in account in 5days. Only problem is ya can't withdraw less than $1500 unless its done with crypto.

Looking to get on to ACR but you need to be set up with crypto. Anyone got any advice on how to get set up with crypto??? The more I look into it the more confused I get lol

ACR has shut down Australian operations because of legislation, not real sure where that leaves Ignition

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
I'm still using ignition. Am yet to attempt to withdraw as I play micro stakes it will take me a long time to get to $1500

Mate, have you had any issues cashing out? I put in a small deposit a few months ago and have built that to around $2K. I tried to cash out $1500 to my bank account last night and they have now suspended my account. Not sure if I have to provide ID or whatever but this is a little concerning. I am awaiting an email response from them (their online chat is useless) but find it odd that my account is suspended so that I cannot play at all whilst whatever the issue is with payment is being sorted out.

I haven't ever tried to withdraw as I'm only playing small stakes (2 cent/5 cent with $5 buyins and some $3 sattelite tournaments) so I probably won't ever build up to $1500 as I play mainly for fun at that buyin level, but I wonder if the issue you are having is because technically, Poker rooms aren't legally meant to be offering services to Australians as I don't think we're legally allowed to play. However some online poker services have continued to offer this service.

I would like to know your outcome, as it's completely dishonest if they know the rules and are happy to take your money but can'f fulfill their requirements when paying you out. I hope you get your money good luck :thumbsu:

It's relatively easy to buy if that's all you want to do.
Moving it between accounts/wallets is slightly more involved but again not too difficult.

Not sure it would be worth the hassle if you just need it to play poker, also, it's incredibly volatile. Like you buy $100 today and that might be worth $50 overnight (or $200 if you're lucky), depending on which one you buy of course, some of them are a little more stable than others. Bitcoin has actually been relatively stable for a few months if that's the currency your trading with.

Ignition will probably make you jump through the Know Your Customer (KYC) hoops if you didn’t do that when signing up. Selfie holding passport or DL, utility bill with address. Stuff like that. It might take a while (say 2 weeks with some back and forth delay tactics thrown in a couple of times in the hope you keep playing) but if you’re legit you should eventually get paid.
It is kinda weird they blocked the account from playing though. Good luck with customer service. Plenty of complaints about it on twoplustwo forum.
My advice to anyone signing up with internet poker sites and offshore sports betting companies is to do all the KYC crap before depositing. It’ll go smoother when you say you’re not depositing until everything is verified. Too late for that for the Cryptkeeper I know. Hope you get paid pronto bud.

Also for anyone getting into poker online get familiar with crypto. Bitcoin is all you’ll need to start. Don’t worry about the alt coins yet. If bitcoin does what half the financial world thinks it might do then everyone’s going to need it eventually so may as well get familiar with it ASAP. Make an account with a trusted Australian crypto exchange. BTCmarkets dot com dot au is excellent. You’ll do a KYC there too but it’s safe enough. Otherwise check out localbitcoins dot com for peer to peer bitcoin-cash trades, or google bitcoin ATM’s near you.
Important- if new to crypto make sure you download a crypto wallet on to your phone before purchasing coins through localbitcoins or through a crypto ATM. Bread wallet is good. There are others on the App Store. Be sure to read some reviews. Give yourself 20-30 minutes to set it up. You’ll need to write down a “recovery phrase” before you can use the app (this is in case the app is ever inaccessible through loss of phone etc).

I’m looking at my options to get into online poker at the moment. I guess there aren’t many, although I’ve heard and read rumours that reinstatement may not be light years away. I’m not holding my breath though.
Anyway I’m probably going to be mainly single tabling on mobile because I live on the road, so I’m looking at browser options. Not keen on trying Ignition and it seems ACR have left the Aust market?
I’ve played a bit on the PPPoker app the past week or two. Will try the Grinder’s club through Deledio_judd’s club.
It seems the main options besides Ignition, ACR and PPPoker are:

Nitrogen (bitcoin only)
Juicy Stakes
SWC (ex Seals With Clubs) (bitcoin only)

I get the impression Nitrogen might be the softest and maybe the busiest?
If anyone has any first hand info they can share on these 3 sites in regards to traffic, strength of play, security, ease of withdrawal etc I’d be grateful. Also if anyone knows of any other (trustworthy 😕) sites.
Cheers.

Hey mate there’s a user on twoplustwo called Thefurn who seems to be having a very similar issue to you right now. If you go over to twoplustwo dot com and search for posts by Thefurn (he only has 3 so not hard) you will see what I mean.
It looks like he is Australian as well.
I would post a link to the thread but I’m not sure if that’s allowed here.
I don’t know if communicating with this guy will help you get your money (probably not) but you might be able to get an explanation as to why they blocked the account.
The thread is in the Internet Poker forum on twoplustwo and is titled:
Ignition Poker Banned my Account for No Reason and have made No Efforts to Refund Balance

So, I have finally sorted out the glitches with playing on Ignition. I offer the following insights for those who are looking at it as an option:

1) The games are pretty soft, especially the SNG's and lower stakes cash games. Tournaments are very soft and there are plenty of them at all stake levels. There are no avatars or usernames which means that the online grinders who use tracking software are back to a level playing field as your hand history is unavailable and they cannot possibly locate you at any given time.

2) It is playable on mobile but only in single table format. There is no table stacking on mobile and even on desktop you can only play a maximum of 4 tables at any one time.

3) Whilst US dollars are the default currency, everything is converted to your local currency (in this case AUD) for ease of use. For example, all tournaments are listed at their US entry cost so a $50+5 tournament will cost closer to $80 AUD after conversion for example but any winnings are converted back at exactly the same rate. It is for calculation purposes only, there is no currency conversion fee or anything underhanded going on. It is more so that you can see what is in your account at any given time in your own currency. You also deposit and withdraw funds in AUD. There is a charge to put funds into your account though as it routes through a foreign bank.

4) Bank transfers do work, but they are for a minimum payout of $1500 and take about a week to process. There are no fees charged by Ignition if you only use this option once a month (more frequent bank transfers attract steep fees) but the flipside and a major drawback is that the minimum cashout via this method is $1500. Plus there are the foreign transaction fees that your local bank will charge you. Also, depending on whether you have any sort of land based poker history, even if it is just a one-off cash in a land based tournament where records are kept then they ask you for an account that is not in your name with which to deposit winnings into. Their reasoning behind this is odd and was not properly explained to me but it has something to do with professionals and cash winnings in certain jurisdictions. Because of this, my initial cashout took a few weeks and I genuinely thought my winnings were gone. But once these teething issues were solved, my first payout came to me without issue. From there, and because I didn't want to wait a week for the next cashout (and I wanted a smaller amount than the $1500 minimum) I decided to investigate taking money out of my Ignition account via Bitcoin...

5) Bitcoin cashouts are excellent. Minimum cashout is $20 and you can make one cashout every 3 days up to a maximum of $9500. These are free and on the 4 occasions I have made a cashout, the process has been seamless, taking less than a day to hit my bitcoin wallet (I use Blockchain.com). You need an intermediary wallet like Blockchain.com or similar because you must generate a unique Bitcoin address for every cashout. Ignition will not process to the same Bitcoin address that you have used before. BTC Markets does not offer new addresses (you have to use the one that you were given upon setting up a BTC Market account) hence you need to use a 3rd party. From there the transfer to my local BTC Markets account takes only a few minutes and costs only a few cents.

In summary, I will keep playing here because the traffic is high, the variety of games is excellent, the competition is soft and most importantly I know that I am going to get paid.

I hope this helps but if anybody has any further queries on what Ignition offers I am happy to try to answer them based on my own personal experience with the site.

I cannot believe how difficult it is to find any information on the internet that isn't blatent advertising masquerading as proper, impartial info...

Wanted to play some online poker during this pandemic, is there anyway to do so in this country that isn't through scummy websites?

Tell me about it.

Anyone know where we can play poker online? I've heard of Ignition Casino, however there site URL seems to no longer work.

You'll likely need to use the WARP by Cloudflare VPN on mobile device (it's free) or your own VPN (NordVPN or whatever else you might use) on desktop to get into Ignition. Set your VPN to another Australian location and you should be good to go. Ignition will only work for you if it thinks you are in your home country.

I think the likes of Optus, Telstra, Vodafone etc were instructed to geoblock Ignition but it works fine with a VPN.

If anyone is still looking for some good sites to play on, let me know. I've got access to GGPoker as well.
Anyway to play on GG without bitcoin?

What are our options these days, is it still safe to play at Ignition? the $1500 withdrawal isn't an issue, and probably a good thing for those that want to build a bankroll using management

I still play at Ignition.

No issues whatsoever although I use Bitcoin.

if anyone is interested you can use in australia, Americas cardroom or Ignition Poker. Americas cardroom is better imo. Better UI, Better games, higher stakes, bigger tourney buy ins, i deposit using crypto (litecoin) and withdraw using litecoin to my swyftx crypto account and then from there to my cba bank account, had no issues and made about 20 withdrawals upto 3k USD. would highly reccomend ACR for anyone in australia wanting to play with real money online.
