Given that 50% of the teams are Melbourne based pretty hard to get a situation like that.
In 2006 Melbourne sides only beat eachother in 2 games, interstate sides won every other game. So effectively zero wins.

Collingwood beating Fremantle was the only win by a Melbourne based team this final series.
Geelong is basically West Melbourne these days.

The Melbourne teams really struggled now that games are back at the Mighty MCG. It's all well and good to win in Perth and Queensland during those COVID-affected years, but it's another story winning in Melbourne. Something for the Melburnian finalists to work on during the off-season at least.
