Firstly - after we won our premiership in 2006 I thought we would win again in 2007 - didnt happen.

Firstly, there is premiership hangover - hunger fades.
Secondly, injuries are a curse - being at the top for a few years like Eagles and Geelong the impact seems to drain players and injuries occur.
Thirdly, Eagles will cover Judd and Cousins. Everyone seems to forget we still have the best ruckman and still have Kerr who has almost won 2 brownlows with Cuz and Juddy stealing votes as well as likes of Glass, Embley, Priddis, Hansen, Lynchy etc etc etc etc

Don't write off the Eagles.

with our leadership group i doubt the hanger will fade
Cant remember Brisbane getting too many injuries
The players that you replace judd and cousins with simply cant be as good

if we don't when the premiership this year ill be extremeliy upset we have the are young enough to still we three to four more over the next 10 years we shouldn't aim for finals we should always aim for premiership glory.I mean we have only one 7 premierships in 150 years I think we have waited long enough to build a dynasty lets not be mediocre anymore and start to thrive for more premierships.

Now that we have one in the bag I am going to sit back, relax and enjoy being a good team.

Anybody follow the NFL. It is the perfect example of why we all love sport. New England had the perfect season, broke every record, didnt lose a match, were about to go down as the greatest team ever. And the underdog wildcard team beat them in the Superbowl. Now I am crushed and it was so very very harsh on the Pats team and fans but this is why we love sport, for the big upset and the unknown that happens each time you take the field. If the best team always won, the game wouldnt be worth watching.

I was in an A grade basketball team that did that. Beaten by Mercy College in the GF after beating them by about twenty twice in the season. We had TWO players left on court at the end. Their centre was a young buck called Justin Madden. Bloody dud the previous times we played them but tore us to pieces that night. Still believe he'd have been a better basketballer than footballer.
