Let's observe shall we. This is simplistic and the advertisement agreements could be more complicated then I have illustrated it here.

Click these link, see all the ads on the side? Every time an ad is viewed (unless you have adblock), the provider makes money from the advertisement through deals with the advertiser.

Now I did not mention the ABC having ad revenue, nope I was referring to them when printing out a correction.

We're done here. If you struggle to understand this, you are either wilfully blind or deliberately being obtuse and dense.
So that there's articles about it is definitive proof that the only reason people have spoken out about their experiences? Rather than the much more likely, obvious explanation than a major cricket star like Chris Gayle being described as a serial offender and a creep is newsworthy?

How do you know what they've experienced? How do you know they're overreacting?

You make nonsense assumptions with absolutely nothing to back it up.

If that's not a case of the pot calling the kettle black I don't know what is.

Yep, being deliberately dense and obtuse. I never said it was true or false but they call the term "muckraking" is when they drag up their entire past to repeat the same story practically again.

I backed mine up, where is yours?

No I've got things to back it up. The experiences described by journalists and women over the last few days. That's what I've got. What have you got? Beyond "I work in offices and have never seen it"?

Show it, I've backed up mine.

BTW, as long as you don't provide a source. I'll repeat this line ad naesuem like Marshawn Lynch in a press conference.

Meadows and Farrell were amongst the first to speak out so they weren't "repeating the same story". And to my knowledge they haven't really done so since going on the ABC.

And what would you like me to back up?

Once again, not referring to the ABC. Stop deflecting to the ABC.

The best way for everyone to move forward from this is if Mel interview's Gayle after his innings on Saturday (assuming he has made a few) or after the game if he is man of the match.

KP's body language throughout the match was not good and i wouldn't mind betting he was pissed off, he quickly shut the commentators down stating he "wasn't feeling sharp"? WTF does that mean? I reckon he made a personal protest. He pretty much wanted to get off the field asap also. If the BBL think this tournament can work with just local players they are way off the mark, the hysteria has now become insanity with talk of banning Gayle from the competition. I didn't see Gayle threaten anyone with chopsticks in the eyeballs? This massive over reaction is a sad reflection on where Australia is currently. The avenues for complaint, and the media’s hyping of every little thing is blinding us to what’s really important and that is the game. We need the internationals to come here, in fact i would like to see more....it's utter nonsense to suggest the BBL would survive without some international representation. Australia really needs to get its head out of its arse! I do not condone Gayle's flirtation, there is a time and place for everything or none of us would be here at all! However the powers that be at CA and TEN are totally bereft of a sense of humour and have over reacted completely. All that was needed here was a lesson in etiquette, nothing more. Our proud ethos of a ‘fair go’ is hard to find in the clamour of calls from the Cricketing hierarchy to ban Gayle from the game. Perhaps our mock-shock at things we should be laughing at relieves us of worrying about the things that make us genuinely horrified?
That sounds like you're reading way too much into the situation. KP made a personal protest? lol
KP makes plenty of personal protests, but they're always about guess who... KP!

You do not understand how journalism + the media work in this day and age.
Maybe in your opinion Gayle is more trouble than he's worth or to CA who are shitscared about upsetting the PC morally outraged brigade but most BBL franchises would still see him as an asset in terms of pulling crowds and bringing in revenue.

Interesting that Gayle is now taking legal action against Fairfax media, the media might have bitten off a bit more than they could chew in their rush to paint Gayle as the next Anti-Christ.
This isn't rocket science Plugger. It doesn't matter what you think about Chris Gayle, the fact is that he's gone from being one of the BBL's biggest drawcards to an embarrassing burden in no time at all. He's essentially being paid to promote the BBL- but he's no longer capable of doing so. This isn't your normal 'player ****s up, apologises' scenario.

And everything those female journos or women have said is 100% gospel is it? That's not proof that backs you up.

Have they provided evidence of being sexually harassed every day or 10 times a day as one of them claimed? No they haven't.

Their view or experiences are no more proof than Mel McLaughlin's view or experience that she very rarely experiences the sort of stuff she did with Gayle.

That morally superior high ground you've taken is starting to crumble.

No it's really not. My ground is as solid as ever. Thank you for your concern though.

So, let's pretend that this nonsense you're spouting is somewhat relevant in the real world. If we can't assume the experiences of all these other journos are true, what makes Mel's story gospel? And if you don't think Mel's comments are true, why do you keep repeating them?

Gayle won't get interviewed for the 3 remaining games and CA will hope the Renegades don't make the finals.

The nonsense I'm spouting? That's rich coming from the guy that keeps accusing me and others of mansplaining.

There's no point continuing to argue with you as you will never admit you're wrong or admit that you're being a hypocrite by accusing others of the same things you're guilty of.

I actually admit I'm wrong regularly. Hell I once thought Shane Harvey was going to be a great player. I've got no issue admitting when I'm wrong. It happens. All you do is learn and move on.

And that's okay. You tried and that's what counts.

It's even frustrating me. You're both using the exact same 'type' of evidence. Neither evidence proves more than the other.

One, she's works in the journalist and news industries, so she'll have more than a few female journalist colleagues, contacts and friends.

Two, being so heavily involved in the industry and if she or even other female (or even males) witnesses such a high amount of harassment, wouldn't she or at least one female journalist over the last 10-15 years speak out and help legitimately collaborate your claims about the large amount of oppressive male harassment against females.

Three, she has very little to no reason to lie, she's says it doesn't happen really all that often and judging by her surprise and shock at the advances wasn't one of a female that cops sexual harassment every week or month.

Mountain out of a molehill.
