Just watched. Really impressive. Wish nothing but the best for him.
Really strange that Mike Shehan questioned him going to 39. it's like he didn't realise that 36 is the cursed number that Max wore and eventually he managed to have a career in 39.
Would have had a round 1 debut in 2012 had he not done his knee in the first preseason game. Was really impressing everyone at training, started on fire, did his knee, kept playing for a bit and then went off.
Hurt his knee as soon as he came back after that.
But he got back to good form and in 2014 won the VFL BnF (after 2 years out and his first time playing at seniors) Had 2 AFL games in a really well performing side for his efforts as well. And it looked like it was all behind him and he'd make it. Then in 2015 he did it again.
