Don Scott wouldn't talk to anyone at Hawthorn for a whole year, very unhappy with off field decisions. Very old school type.

Dermie joked that he was the only person Don talked to that year, Dermie said he handed Don's mouthguard back to him (presumably Don said thanks).

On the first night he addressed the playing group as follows:

"Well, I suppose you've all heard rumours about me"
