Amazed Richo hasn't been on it yet.

Scott West would be interesting if Mike bought up his "indiscretion" shall we say. I doubt he would.

G-Train - not even Mike could squeeze 25 minutes out of him surely.

John Carr would be an interesting one though i think Riccito's kind of covered most of the stories from that era.
Josh,

I think they would do a double with his brother and cover the Port and Freo years

Decent idea, though most of the doubles have been a bust. Pretty sure the Matt Carr did his dough in the property market dunno where he is at these days.
''So Matt how much did you make from football and what did you do with it?''

:D

could do a repeat i can't even remember the season 1 interviews.
I agree - but he's a pretty open man, not much to say that hasn't been covered really
Chris Judd would be an interesting one post career (I know he did a version of Open Mike in 2009)
I don't feel like he would say much really, he's a reserved guy
A bit like Pav for mine

His book was pretty open about the issues at my club near the time he left
Although Mike seems to have some sort of vendetta against the Eagles of the 2000's so I'm not sure how it would go

you'll get nothing out of Judd, he isn't going to let his guard down.

The best Open Mikes are where either the guy is a lovable rogue (ie: Hawkins, Capper) or they have a good story overcoming adversity. Judd has nothing really. His story is basically he came into the game and was the best player in the competition in his 3rd year due to his freakish ability and natural gifts. Then he played a bit and shifted teams .zzz wake me up when its done.

Post football story .... Works a couple of hours a week, and his wife cops a hard time on social media. ZZZZZZZZ

I could see a Pav one especially considering he has joined Fox. I also echo the sentiments of having one on Peter Bell.
I don't see what you'll get out of Pav?

I love the guy but I don't see there being much to talk about?

How strong was the pull to return to Adelaide ?( either Port or Crows)

Did you play on 1 year too long?

Describe what the future holds, football or business?

Early days in the shit show that was Damien Drumm, Siren Gate, playing in the clubs first final, constantly being offered contracts by both SA clubs and his reasons for not leaving, the change from Harvey to Ross, the GF loss, 2016 season, watching the club evolve both on and off the field over his time at the club. There is certainly enough there for any journo worth their salt to come up with a ~25 minute chat with one of the greats of the modern era.

I was surprised Mike managed to get Tony Modra on the show. He was always known to be reclusive and very shy.
Although he didn't say much, it was a great interview.

My hope is that one day, Mike will get Ablett Snr on the show as he too would be similar to Modra in his articulation.

He's spoken about it before, it was very strong but the club demanded he stuck to the contract he signed.

Yes, I thought we had another chance at a flag and I even suggested giving it up for the club but again they said why not play it out

Part time commentator and family time

Again, you could spent time on the pain of losing the flag and Prelims but he just seems like a nice guy who went through without controversy and that's not great TV, especially a guy who played through an era where the players are so public there isn't a lot left.

I bet you it'll end the day he gets Gablett, it's the only reason why it's still going.
Mike's even said he's hassled Lockett and Gablett to come and offered stupid money

I don't think there is enough for this type of show, I would love to watch a one hour sit down style to go over it all but Mike loves to focus on negatives and he didn't have enough to make it worth while.

I don't care how much he was offered by other clubs and you know that'll be 10 minutes of 20

Going toe to toe with Michael Gardiner in the demolition derby

Thanks Matt , now go on Open Mike and say it out loud :)

I just think he's suited to a better show.

Open Mike as good as it can be, is certainly for ratings and click bait and the best shows are the ones where there was lots of controversy and the person actually wants to open up.

I think his best would be lost to this style of 20 minute, in and out interview.
