Bad screw up by Mike there. Totally misunderstood where the Fish was coming from with that forward pocket comment. The first time I've seen him mess up in one of these.

Yeah not sure why he didnt get it,like oh whats wrong with that

I seem to recall Salmon doing some media in the past but not sure if he's doing it now? Not sure why not. He speaks very well, intelligent and a friendly nature. Always admired how he resurrected his career at the Hawks after looking done at the dons.

The Kennedy Snr one was pretty boring I thought. Probably because of the era he played and coached in though, it's just a bit too far back for me.

And I prefer the interviews with guys who have remained relevant in the game during the modern era, even if they played and coached in a previous one.

I'm guessing Mike won't be asking questions about an alleged incident in an automobile with a team mate and channel 10 newsreader.

Do you think that Mike will fly a kite ?

I fear you may have a slightly narrowly defined view of the word 'relevant', the modern game wouldn't be what it is without the likes of Kennedy Snr. Assuming you're South Australian, is it because the era of his direct influence was pre-AFL?

Agree 100%.

This generation are spoonfed with the internet - One click of the button and you have all the information that you need. Bit different to me making numerous trips to Melbourne Library, to read old newspapers to learn more about the game.

And who wants to watch Open Mike interviewing current stars/officials/coaches etc - We fairly much know their story.

Absolutely gutted after watching that interview with Wayne Johnson. I have a twelve year old son who plays footy. I cannot even comprehend the horror of what that man must experience to this day.

Same old story; he excels on the footy questions because he knows his shit so well, but struggles when he gets personal; he gets the stutters, is unsure of himself, and the interview takes a weird turn.
He should just stick to the footy and leave the psychology stuff alone.

Interesting that Johnston referred to the Woman's Day story.
