even after watching cappers comments he still spoke well about him too.

enjoyed that interview, great bloke.

I hate the hawks but its interesting to hear from guys from their super era especially under Kennedy and who knew Peter Crimmins.

Knights came into my workplace a couple of months back when the Hawks came to town to play the Eagles.

Ended up having to work from home that day and missed saying g'day. Still annoys me to this day.

After the Knights interview I went back and watched the Capper interview again. Capper did say that Knights wanted to drop him, went over Paul Cronin's head to Skase, Skase said it was fine, and he was dropped, which Capper was fine with. So the story from both Knights and Capper marries up and they both seem to like each other and have a mutual respect for each other.

I know there is 0% chance of this happening, but a Ben Cousens open Mike would be great. Can't get much better than that.

The Knights interview appears to put the Capper comments into context, Knights was crippled by the constraints placed on him by private ownership, and Capper may have seen this lack of freedom as poor coaching.

Libba's interview was one of the better ones I thought.

Seem's like a real down to Earth guy.

i was only 12ish at the time so I probably didn't hear the ins and outs of it just what was shown on tv and the news.

as he said he got him before he got hit so blood probably did make it worse then what it was

Wasn't it just the same as any other dust-up/spat on the field, except it got blown up by the media because Matthew Knights bled a bit?

Bled like a stuck pig - which on albino skin and hair looks bloody awful.

The other component was Wayne Campbell's initial statements of not having seen the incident, only his mate bleeding to death, then hanging Liberatore out to dry at the tribunal with a detailed "account" of the whole thing.

But as Liberatore said, he probably got what he deserved.

Will be interesting to see how Mike goes about the bits of Cornes's career that will be a completely mystery to him, ie the pre-Crows South Australian stuff.

Knowing Mike's disdain for anything outside of the Victorian borders you can bet those 5 games Cornsey played for North Melbourne & his 3 or 4 years coaching the Crows will probably end up taking up 29 minutes of the half hour show!

You probably won't be far off.
Waiting for the "what took you so long?" question about playing in Victoria.
Looks like they will at least show a few speccies from this playing days.

Also, what happened after the 1990 SANFL Grand Final, when Cornes visited the Port Adelaide rooms after his team (Glenelg) lost to the Magpies.
