McInerney has to be considered.

122 and played mostly midfield with a bunch of CBAs

Forward status makes him an option.
He is a bit pricey. Higher than I expected but could ride the early price rise to see who is best to pick

Went 66 in round 1 against Brisbane last year and 57 later in the season. Went 59 against the Hawks.

Guess who we have in the next two weeks.

Don’t do it.

Hard to decide whether to keep Bice after that game. Started well, but the rest of the game it seemed like they weren't looking for him at all. But still scored better than Lizard and was on par with Mills

Anyone feel like preseason research is 90% useless due to opening round? I think it ruins the fantasy game so much.

Mentioned this a few times during the PS. Its still worth keeping track of, but the endless tinkering is pointless when most decisions will be based on this week's scores

Was on my watchlist as well and he didn’t pass the eye test for me. Raced to 20 halfway through the first quarter and was very hard to find after that.

Completely different role. Pretty sure he was the number 1 CBA guy for Sydney in this game. Has been most preseason as well.

31 disposals (most for Sydney tonight). Will have a very low breakeven. I have to at least look at him as an option.

Some early breakevens already updated:

Jagga Smith: -77
Jai Serong: -50
Justin McInerney: 7
Marc Pittonet: 18
Oliver Florent: 19

Errol Gulden: 63
Sam Walsh: 83

Fair enough, the role was juicy tonight. He’s always been our utility who goes wherever he’s needed from week to week though. Could very easily be on the non-Gulden wing next week that none of our play goes through and suddenly he puts out a 50-something against the reigning premier which quickly kills his cash gen and leaves you with a headache.

I didn’t get a chance to watch us at all during the PS, did he have the same role as tonight during any of the practice games? Would add significant weight to his case if he did.

Agree he does have to be looked at given the dearth of decent forward options but he’s one to treat with extreme caution for mine.

Are these using Fantasy Coach? I don't think they're accurate yet.

Showing 230K O.Steene with a -59 BE and 230K J.Blanck with a 2 BE, with heaps of other different BE's for 230k players in between.

The ones who have played seem fairly accurate. It's probably just bugged for all the players who haven't played yet.

I had him last year in my draft league. Generally quite consistent and could bank on him for a 70 which for a depth fantasy forward isn’t too bad. If he’s playing more midfield this year then I could see him averaging 85-90.

Think thats because they're already including 2 weeks worth with opening round players. But some 230k players have different BE's aswells who play opening round, so they probably are wrong.

McInerney has the Round 3 bye like so many other good FWD options (CMac, Budarick, Petracca, Lombard, Dylan Moore etc.) along with Gulden, English/Grundy, Jai 'GOAT' Serong and Jaques - would be worth a look otherwise but I have too many missing that week as is.

There’s too many insanely good value options to consider McInerney ino. Will end your season if he goes 40-50 as no-one else will have him.

Didn’t catch the full game

Is Jai Serong field able?

I know he was on the wing, kinda died when swans turned it on in the third

He played well, but has Brisbane round 1 and Hawks round 2. Would be risky putting him on field for either of those games. In a good matchup like round 4 against Eagles I would say yes.

CBAs: of Total 32

Walsh 27 (84%)
Grundy 26 (81%)
Pittonet 25 (78%)
Heeney 23 (72%)
Cripps 20 (63%)
Gulden 19 (59%)
Hewett 17 (53%)
J.Smith 17 (53%)
Rowbottom 16 (50%)
Sheldrick 13 (41%)
Warner 12 (38%)
McInerney 11 (34%)
Lord 7 (22%)
Reidy 7 (22%)
Amartey 6 (19%)
Z.Williams 5 (16%)
J.Jordon 2 (6%)
O.Hollands 2 (6%)
Moir 1 (3%)

Forget everything I said before. McInerney only had 34% CBAs. Trap.

On the other hand, Walsh looks great with an incredible role.
