I don't bet a lot of handicaps in tennis but I'm pretty sure even Pinny requires a full match to be complete on those bet types, unlike head to heads.

The reason I place these bets IS based on the different retirement rules. Some Australian books are stupid and will pay out on players winning a set even if the match isn't completed. So if you arb that on a straight sets win with Pinny, you will receive a full refund from them if their opponent wins a set and the match isn't completed, whereas some Australian books pay out on the "yes" option in the markets titled, "Player to win a set".

Similarly, betting on overs with Australian books in game totals and arbing it with unders on Pinny plays massively into your favour in retirements too. In contrast, never bet on unders with Australian books who have different retirements rules to Pinny, as you leave yourself wide open to be smacked on the ass, because you can lose your entire stake with one book, whereas Pinny won't pay out on the other side of the arb due to them giving you a full refund.

It's not just "a few dollars here and there". It is worth the "labour" as another poster suggested, because retirements do occur in about 5% of matches. For every 100 bets of these I place, about 1.5% come through where I profit with the Australian book and receive a refund elsewhere. And I'm not throwing away money, because I only bet on markets with either a guaranteed profit, or at worst a very small loss.

Plenty of ways around this. I've been making money like this for over two years.
