Depending on how the off season goes but id say Finals for sure. Hopefully push into the 2nd week and beyond of finals but have to get there to start with. Win a few more of those close games and this should be fairly achievable.

Hands up who were excited about finals when we smashed Hawthorn and Sydney? It is a fine line, and we should be aiming for top 8, but any spot within it. We are due for a change of luck, both with the draw, and the close games going our way. Come on, we're Richmond. This has to happen. Doesn't it...?

Pass/Fail might include off field outcomes as well?
Pass mark if we:
- don't drop off membership numbers too steeply (last 3 weeks will haunt us I predict)
- finish Punt Road oval ahead of schedule and on budget
- conduct solid list management, and a good draft period
- appoint a new captain (just my opinion)
- finish with a positive win/loss ratio
- defeat our nemesis team Gold Coast

Would like your opinions on what is considered successful and what would be a failure next season? At what point would you say ""we have arrived as a contender"" or ""its a total failure again""

Finals, anything less will be a failure.

Obviously Finals is the pass mark. We should be able to achieve this when you look at our performances this year, add another year of natural improvement and a Free agent/s (Cloke, Chaplin), Pick ~9, ~29, ~31..
