Whateley is pushing it,trial with a few clubs not in the finals race.

So Geelong’s slow plodders can pass the ball without getting tackled next year.
Jesus, this may be the dumbest thing ive ever heard.

the idea that you can have two different rules sets being played at the same time, for premiership points in the same league baffles me

and thats not even bringing in what happens if someone from a non finals team gets on a tear and kicks a few bags due to the increased amounts of blowouts since carlton cant just put all 18 blokes behind the ball and wins the coleman?

In season is nuts IMO.

Games being considered:
R21 – Fremantle v Carlton
R22 – Gold Coast v Brisbane
R22 – Carlton v Western Bulldogs
R23 – St Kilda v North Melbourne
R23 – Carlton v Adelaide

Ben Brown leads the Coleman by 10 now but in a couple of rounds, who knows it might have tightened up and Buddy might only be a couple behind.
Brown and Norf rip St Kilda apart - he kicks 10 or 12 and wraps up the Coleman.
Kudos, recognition, Coleman betting all tainted.

Cant happen in season surely....

And with 3 potential games, Liam Jones will win the reverse Coleman in a canter. How is that fair :D

It's laughable that an industry of this size and financial value is able to make so many changes on the fly.
I've a feeling I've said this before, but...

The worst run major sporting competition in the world.

An absolute joke.

'No impact on the ladder'

So draft positions dont matter anymore Gil?
And what about the Brownlow, Coleman and other awards?
What an absolute dickhead.
Dead set f**kwit.

This is what happens when you let a moron preside over the competition.

should be trialled across the vfl, sanfl and wafl for the entire 2019 season, then the results brought to the commission to assess the viability of introducing the new rules into the AFL for 2020
That’s too logical, no chance you’d get a job at the AFL.

Whately lost me when he started pushing his agenda.
He is like the little annoying kid at school that isnt good enough to play so wants to change the rules.
F off
Those who are behind or endorse this have zero credibility in my eyes. Knee jerk jerkoffs.
