he had like half a year off before having to start at Fold Coast. plenty of time off for someone that's used to day in day out intense job with public scrutiny like an AFL coach. probably got bored if anything

people should be more critical of Steve Hocking for his ridiculous rule changes that ****ed any of the drafting and trading Dimmer did as most of the players picked up didn't suit post-SHocking era footy. without Steve Hocking dimmer probably would've won us 6 or 7 flags then retired at the top

No jealousy at all. Bolton, Rioli and Baker got us 5 first-rounders, which we were able to draft some top-end talent.
We know where we are at, and in 2-3 years time we will rise and challenge again.

Way I see it was Swallow had possession of the ball when the tackle landed & it fell out of his hands without a disposal being made.to call him for holding a tackle too long when tge player lost disposal of it via unorthodox way is a tough tough call.

Bolton's tackle 30 seconds earlier was more deserving of a HTB free than Swallows

Totally disagree. Swallows free kick was there and gets paid 9/10 times not sure how you can honestly think anything different.

Bolton's non free was also the right call as the suns player didn't have prior. Just because it was a good tackle doesn't mean it's HTB.

Hinkley and Buckley have so many posts pleading for them to walk away. Dimma didnt put us through that.

I am happy for his success. Thank goodness he went to Gold Coast and not a Collingwood where you would find it hard to like him.

What happened in the hub was disappointing and people believed in the Hopper and Taranto trade at the time.

He did a damn good job at Richmond and I hope to see them win next week and give it to Collingwood the next week.

Exactly....Simpson, Longmire, Hinkley, Clarkson, Sheedy......all hung around too long at their respective clubs.

Hardwick...he knew his messaging was getting stale....yes there were other issues too...the divorce from Mrs Hardwick and then him dating the other lady....but at the end of the day he knew his time at Richmond was done and he could do nothing more and nothing new.

It takes courage to walk away from a contract when it hasn't finished and he did it. Those others I mentioned...they hung on and hung on and hung on.

What he did for Richmond....i will always be grateful. He is a very good coach.

His performance in the Elimination Final against Gold Coast: 15 disposals, 4 shots on goal - 1 goal, 1 behind and 2 no score. Losing margin to Gold Coast was 1 point.

Not good enough. 2026 - he needs to do better.

Plus, Bolton had 82 shots on goal in season 2025: 28 goals, 29 behinds and 25 no score (out of bounds/on the full, didnt make distance etc). That's a goal accuracy of 34.1%....that is clearly not good enough. Bad kicking on goal is as bad as any turnover, an errand handpass or errand kick.

Umpires are very lenient where Rowell is concerned. Can hold on to the ball as long as he likes it seems. Doesn’t even have to go off for the blood rule either.

They only won by a point, they needn’t get carried away.
