So he took the easy way out and walked away. Selfish, only cared about himself. Yes I’m grateful for the 3 flags but as soon as it got a bit hard he bailed.

How any of you can be happy with how he left amazes me. Each to their own I suppose.
And took the money

That’s right! It doesn’t matter how much you win by,as long as you do, lol.
There’s no need to go around as if you’ve won the flag either. They were having a photo taken for goodness sake. Did they even acknowledge Fyfe’s last game? They didn’t seem to show that on the tv. I may have missed it.

2016 was a bit hard

Swallow never had “control” of the ball for it to be classed as a disposal so as soon as the tackle lingers and stopped Swallow from being able to contest its a clear holding the man free

Under the rules it’s a free kick every day of the week
Be careful with that statement , it’s not for us

It’s not about being hard it’s about the time needed to invest
Fair enough he made the call when he decided he wasn’t invested in committing to another 5+ years to see it through

It was shit at the time but looking back on it, it was the correct call to make

We still paid him out though

What a horrible take.

You don't reckon it got a bit hard after losing 3 straight elimination finals and then your performance the next year resulting in a board challenge?

Dimma going to bone the intern tonight… mmmmhmmm
gasp GIF

Only because of contract clause’s
That’s how it works and it would be the same at every other club
He quit remember , shouldn’t have benefited , if we sacked him different thing , but HE quit

It’s not about the free kick itself being awarded, but the inconsistency in how it’s given. It’s rarely awarded, and then out of nowhere, they decide to give it for the infringement.

I thought dumma would be a 20 plus year coach with us, but the corrupt cfl ended his time and then he joined them. they said "you either join us or you get reamed like this every week " and he chose to join them

All depends on the contract and he signed his extension when we were at the top of the hill

Dimma’s final contract with us would of been heavily weighted in his favour, the club would of happily agreed to it assuming it wouldn’t happen

But it did, but that’s life you win some, you lose some

Yes, they did and were lined up as he left the field. I’m sure we celebrated in 2017 vs Geel like we won a premiership too. It’s all emotion, don’t want robots in our sport, lol.

If he had doubts, he should have discussed it during the 2022 season, instead of going for 'The Last Dance'.

That’s a different argument all together and a fair one but not really relevant

Umpires are shockingly inconsistent but I’m not going to get upset about them actually applying the rules properly

For all we know he did, or he simply changed throughout the season

These things happen
At the start of the year I was happy in my job and couldn’t see myself doing anything else

In just I put in my notice and started doing something different after 14 years

Change is always a good thing, especially when you’ve been in the same environment doing the same job.

It's just the jarring inconsistency I have with the application of the game's rules.

Scrapping the 'made an attempt to dispose the ball' would be a start, simplifying the adjudication of the game.

Exactly....Simpson, Longmire, Hinkley, Clarkson, Sheedy......all hung around too long at their respective clubs.

Hardwick...he knew his messaging was getting stale....yes there were other issues too...the divorce from Mrs Hardwick and then him dating the other lady....but at the end of the day he knew his time at Richmond was done and he could do nothing more and nothing new.

It takes courage to walk away from a contract when it hasn't finished and he did it. Those others I mentioned...they hung on and hung on and hung on.

What he did for Richmond....i will always be grateful. He is a very good coach.
There's no courage walking away from a contract when you've wheeled and dealed a new one on the side.

Also. He would not have walked away if we were still in finals contention, so he was having it both ways.

That was until they played the gay slur card .
amazing the bullchite they come up with

2023 it was maynard ending the blokes career

this year they played a gay card
