This feels like december 2008 and the night before the pre season draft when tiger fans united as one and rioted outside Punt Road forcing the club to recruit Ben Cousins.
i was following that on the retro afl site live draft tracker thing on my 90s computer with dialup interweb . did a front flip when I seen cuz's name appear

Just read on Facebook from a Hawks fan page that they have mail suggesting Jenkins might be at Hawthorn next year. Hope it's true, would be their best recruit since Ty Vickery.
Haven't they got anyone to get the cheap goal out the back?

You seem reasonable, so I'll take your point. The rants about Miers getting a rising star nom were a bit much though. He's had a consistent body of work all season, so he's earned it. Stack will probably be next week. That's usually how it goes.
No the body of work is considered when players have similar games. Bolton got coaches votes (2nd highest), made the AFL team of the week. AFL Player rating scores 22.5 to 7.5 (Miers). Bolton's games was better than Miers.

Why the * should Rampe be fined for the post incident? The AFL cleared him of any wrong doing on the weekend, but is then fined on Monday. What the *?
The umpires are the ones that didn't do their job properly and pay the free kick so they are the ones that should be punished.
******* dickheads AFL.

The 10k was for the girl reference but even that is way to harsh not to mention that if the umps wern't miked up then nothing would have been heard on the field. The way it should be.

he hasn't brought that "potential to cause injury" thing up again because the tribunal have pretty much said it's not a thing. it's not going to be used at all any more. he could use it again but the player will appeal and the tribunal will downgrade it like last time so no point.

however the Gablett one from this week is a standard one weeker, he went off the ball and hit a dude in the head, that's it, it's a week no matter whether the other player is fine. it's no different to grimes or dusty or mason cox who shoulda got done a week as well. you can't be looking at dudes off the ball, changing direction towards them and hitting em in the head. it's a week every time, intentional high contact is a week even if low impact
They should still use it like they did with Dusty and make a 1 week suspension into a 2 weeker. The club then appeals and gets it down to one week, player still gets rubbed out and nobody complains.

Thread is descending into LNP on election night at 8 pm .

Moe like if Shorten loses the unlosable election. I will be getting off social media for a bit if that happens, because the left are gonna go ballistic ala Geelong supporters after the 2017 finals series.

hocking roflmao

The AFL’s football chief Steve Hocking, meanwhile, told the meeting that he felt the game was improved by the nine rule changes, although Hocking acknowledged – in response to a question – that he had thought the rules would increase scoring, which has declined further thus far.

Hocking told the clubs he felt the game was more open and that it had a better feel.

He said there had been a marked increase in scoring in the first minute after a centre bounce, in what would be caused by the six-six-six rule this year.
