Would have been a better chance than 2001 I reckon, was a really exciting side to watch and with such an overhaul from 2004's spoon list there was a real buzz about the place until Browny went down. Then Coughlan, Foley, Knobel, Stafford, Simmonds, Hall, Gaspar, Schulz etc., to the point Pettifer was playing as a genuine CHF, Tuck was our ruckman (and still too sore to kick with his right leg) and blokes like Fleming and Nahas were 1st rotation midfielders.

The whole era was a never-ending disaster of one injury after another. No wonder we all thought the club was cursed.
