Sam Draper from the druggies being called a star already from the media after a 1 goal 11 possie game so what is nank then a hack he gets more than 11 possies every week standing on his head
campaigner can't kick to save his life either! Media sensationalism at it's finest. David King by any chance?

At the end of the day it doesn't matter if GWS or Bummers get 8th spot. I'd prefer Bummers just for the melts when they continue their glorious run of 6000 plus days without a finals win.....😘
They can extend the streak from outside the 8 though. Talented group

Was purely commenting on how GWS look more like an inspired team than when Coniglio leads them.

He seems to lift to the responsibility , and hopefully, with maturity, he will have less brain snaps.

OK. Did you look at the context of my post? Clearly not. Please don’t quote my posts out of context and then question me when I point this out.

He’s also clearly not maturing with age. He just throat punched Dangerfield and got two games. Quit the gaslighting.

Two weeks for punching a guy in the throat. Seems lenient.

The problem is the MRO is not consistent, that is why there is room for appeal.

If we look at another case, how does Selwood bump align with earlier judgements?

The MRO is a complete mess and need overhauling starting with the replacement of the people in charge.

Great article on Jacob T.
Did not realise he had a stutter.
He had declined TV interviews in the past.
Pretty sure Lever was getting into Towner over his stutter in 2017, that's why we always go hard at him.

Got nothing but love for Towner

I must say that Wayne Carey is the last person who should speak about being humble, but I do actually agree with him.

Dimma has been very on edge this year. I love that he defends his players but he's getting too emotional lately.

Media only do that to troll us.

Gets a lot of mud flung at him for a 3 premiership coach that lifted this club from the bottom.

Exactly, but it's still plausible . Whereas expecting Essendon to drop a game is less likely. So it's our only option to belt the next two teams.
Eagles dropping last three is another possibility.
Eagles have a garbage percentage, unless they thump freo by 100+, they only need to drop two (and we need to win our last two obviously) and we'll go above them.

I'm finding it hard to reconcile Dimma defending his players and being emotional with a lack of humility. It feels like a confusing leap of logic to make.

Is it arrogant to defend your player and your coaching strategy? It's defensive, sure, but arrogant/lacking in humility?

I love that our coach backs his players in.

Imagine he said Lynch was horrible today? That just sends a negative mindset through the whole club.

This is the old Richmond line of thinking when we replaced coach after coach.

Lynch did not get much service to be sure, sometimes that happens, his work rate off the ball was still solid.

No doubt it's great that he backs his players in. As I said, I love that.

But there really is no need to get so defensive about it. As soon as someone criticizes something he is getting emotional about it. Same thing happened with Schwarz.

He could have answered the question exactly the same way without having to have a dig at Brown. It just seems petty.

Imagine he done a Malcolm Blight and called him pathetic 😳

I think there's a huge underlying issue with the lack of protection our forwards get from the umpires. Dimma sort of implied it in his response, and has done it before. Remember half time in the Bris game? Almost zero free kicks.

So I think what he was trying to say is this: do some genuine research, look at clips and analyse what Lynch is doing in the game. Implicit in that is the resultant light bulb moment: Lynch is being double/triple teamed, the ball is coming in slow and high and he is constantly held down or blocked from the contest. It's a disgrace.

We have an entire thread on "umpiring", there should be a sub thread of "umpiring, Lynch and Reiwoldt".
Free kick differential is outrageous, especially with these two guys. And worse free kicks "for" is a disgrace more than just the differential. Lynch is Exhibit A.

I reckon Dimma is just totally sick of these experts basing their analysis on kicks, marks, handballs without doing any analysis past that.
