I for one don't miss Optus too much, I know it was best for the clubs financial stablity and whatnot but if money wasn't a factor would you rather Optus over Telstra Dome?

Remember voters, IF MONEY WASN'T A FACTOR.

I'd prefer we play all our home games at the MCG ... but being an MCC member I am biased

Optus vs Telstra though? No question .... in terms of atmosphere and competitive advantage (on the field) Optus everytime ... but as we all know, it's been decided that it's not financially viable to continue there so it's really a non-issue ... Telstra Dome is not that bad anyway.

It's going to leave a big hole in my life not going to OO.

Not sitting near the opposition race and giving them everything.

Not sitting next to the friends you have known sitting in the same area for decades.

The surface at OO would be the best in the competition no doubt.

The general Carlton atmosphere throughout the game is what got us through to win on some occasions.

MCG is okay.

TD is crap, accept for the roof.

I don't understand why we cannot play interstate games at OO, would you prefer 16,000 at the 'G or Optus? That is a rhetorical question because we already know the answer...

Optus Oval in the pre-legends stand days was awesome. Standing down behind the goals was just a great atmosphere.

Legends stand was the worst stand ever constructed though. No atmosphere at all, and if you weren't in the front row it felt like you were miles away from the action. As a pure place to watch football, Telstra Dome has it covered. Great view from almost anywhere, much more comfortable seats, easier to get to. Doesn't have quite the same atmosphere, the surface sucks, and it feels a bit artificial at times, but its still good. All grounds have their positives and negatives though. I'd like to play home games at TD against Victorian teams and play non-victorian at Optus when the crowds are lower. A small stadium with 25000 has a better atmosphere than a larger stadium that is half-full

I wondered the same thing last year.
