Its strange all the noise about Optus seems to be coming from the Eagles, and not Freo.
WC also train here as well- which freo don’t for the most part; which has added into the problem. I don’t think we are training there anymore, but that’s really not the point.Salt?
The only crying is coming from the eagles about a ground they share with Freo
Haven’t seen Freo share the same concerns

its not the "turf" its the layers underneath the turf causing hardness, moisture etcEveryone loves the MCG turf, why don't they just consult with the people who look after it?
Isn't there staff parking under the turf itself? I think that might be a huge reason why the turf is as hard as it is.It was built on a swamp just metres from the river. These potential issues were well known when they selected the site. A lot of time and money went into compaction and drainage, building on such sites can be a tricky balancing act, hopefully they can work it out.
maybe just raise the blades on the mower 1/4 inch?Everyone loves the MCG turf, why don't they just consult with the people who look after it?
There may be some under the grandstand but not the playing surface.Isn't there staff parking under the turf itself? I think that might be a huge reason why the turf is as hard as it is.
Remember Subiaco weary leg syndrome from the 90's/00's ?
WA has some kind of leg fetish.
Fixed? lol docklands is still a joke of a surface, the players hate itDidn't Docklands also have issues with the hardness of the surface when it first launched? How was that fixed?

Strange comment - the stadium has won international awards. Universally agreed as the best stadium in Australia, surface issues aside. This development wasnt 'messed up'.WA has messed up so many recent developments. The Barnett obsession with building monuments to his greatness has resulted in a plethora of second class facilities that will need to corrected over the next decade due to the already committed funds. This is just another example of this.
