These are the old TANFL songs of the 1970's & 80's.

Hobart
Hobart forever Boys,
Hobart are we.
Home of a great tradition,
Where the premiership's our mission.
Hobart forever Boys,
Answer the call.
Eat 'em alive you Tigers,
Hobart is the greatest team of all.
~
We'll beat the Magpies wether it be wet or fine,
We'll beat the Magpies and at the bell they'll be behind.
No doubt about the reason for it.
~
Hobart forever boys,
Hobart are we.
Home of a great tradition,
Where the premiership's our mission.
Hobart forever Boys,
Answer the call.
Eat 'em alive you Tigers,
Hobart is the greatest team of all.

Sandy Bay
Seagulls, Seagulls that's our name,
We're the boys that play the game.
The Tigers, The Robins we've beaten them too,
The Eagles, The Magpies and even the Roos.
So c'mon, come on, come on win or lose,
It matters not to the White and Blues.
Seagulls, Seagulls flying high,
May the spirit never die.
~

New Norfolk
There's a team on the track,
Dressed in Red, White and Black,
We are the mighty Eagle team.
It takes a good team to stop us,
A better one to wop us and Hobart knows that's true.
If the Magpies ever head us, we'll all come fighting back,
For we're fighting for our colours,
The old Red, White and Black.
Down the Roos and the Gulls,
And we'll bust the Robins' skulls,
We are the mighty Eagle team.

Glenorchy
We're Glenorchy Club, the Magpies,
A team of always do or die.
Of victory we must always be assured,
To win for the ball our big men fly.
We've the spirit to fight on with,
Until the final bell rings out.
We play the game with dash and courage,
Fair and law abiding.
We are the good old Black and White.
~
We're Glenorchy Club, the Magpies,
The Premiership is our main aim.
To top the ladder and to win the flag,
So as to keep our district's fame.
When the final game is over,
That's the time to celebrate.
Magpies always flock together,
We are a happy mob forever,
We are the good old Black and White.

Clarence (Note: Clarence changed to Red & White in 1978)
Clarence are the team to watch, we sing to you,
With the will to win, the strength to carry through.
Maroon and White, the flag to make your hearts beat true,
We're from the Eastern Shore.
~
Up the Roos and play your greatest,
We'll kick all the goals the straightest.
Opponents we will bowl you over,
We're the mighty Kangaroos.
~
Loyal and true to see a pennant flying high,
We'll upkeep spirit our opponents can't deny.
Clarence are a very strong, determined side.
Come on Maroon and White.
~
Up the Roos and play your greatest,
We'll kick all the goals the straightest.
Opponents we will bowl you over,
We're the mighty Kangaroos.

North Hobart
It's a grand old flag,
It's a high flying flag,
It's the emblem for you and for me.
It's the emblem of the team we love,
The team of the Red and the Blue.
Every heart beats true for the Red and the Blue,
And we sing this song for you.
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the Red and the Blue.

Claremont is in the SFL Regional League, their song is:

Claremont
We're a bunch of jolly good chaps and each one is a star,
and if you care to join us you'll find us at the bar,
and if you care to join us you"ll find that were alright,
and you could be a member of the Claremont boys tonight.
Should all acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the Black and White.

i dont really know what that last bit is all about but its sounds pretty cool when everyones singing it

Thanks for the trip down memory lane mate. That is an awesome club song and songs fantastic when everyone is belting it out. Have fond memories of singing that after winning an U/18 final at the West Oval.

Up in the Picola League there are a number of different songs. I know one line in Picola's says something about being the p#$@heads from Picola. Sounds a bit wierd when the juniors sing it and Tungamah's goes to the tune of Thank God I'm a Country Boy, by simply changing it to Thank god I'm a Tunga boy.

possibly the worst rip off ive heard is elmore in the heathcote league. they use the melbourne theme song but change the colours...

its a grand old flag its a high flying flag its the emblem for me and for you,its the emblem of,the team we love the team of the red and the white?

its terrible.
best in the heathcote league has gotta be colbo. hj32 or someone will have to put it on but this is a bit of it.

its goes "up there colbo,up there colbo,..... then it goes on "out come (insert team) elmore dressed in all that s**t they wear, out come colbo, one! two! three! whos that bloody star youve got playin in your forward line? we'll take care of him...." i think it says easily. somethin that rymes anyway.haha, ive made a mess of it.

lockingtons is original. to the tune of botany bay.

on the lockington oval youll find us,
in the colours of blue and the white,
BLUE AND THE WHITE!
our troubles we're leaving behind us
and the premiership flag is in site,
so heres to the day that we win it
DAY WE FU**IN WIN IT!
with the grand final game in the bag,
IN THE BAG!
we're certain we're gonna be in it
and hoist up the premiership flag!

Ascot Vale now extinct but I always liked theres

Were the boys from down at Walter St
Every one thinks we are the hardest to beat
Cos when we play them, we play them hard and fast
and we love the fight of defeating them
We never give in
Until We Win
We never stop
Untill Were on top
Coz where the boys from ASCOT VALE.

Cant recall word for word but Sunburys song is pretty original.

This was the Rovers Club song before they mergerged with Kerang in the Central Murray FL.

I was standing on a corner,
When a Copper said to me,
If you belong to Rovers,
You'd better come with me.

So I upped my fist,
and knocked him stiff,
and we began to sing, oi!

We are the Rovers,
We are the team,
We can't be beaten,
That's easily seen

At the end of the season,
You'll know the reason,
We are the Rovers Football Team.

Are we good, are we good,
Are we any fukcing good?
Yes we are, we're the fukcing best by far.
Did we win, did we win
We s**t it in.

Bit late to the party here but I've always admired the originality of the Darwin FC song, despite hating the club. It's based on a 1930s yank tune.

You go home and get your scanties
I'll go home and get my panties
And away we'll go
Ohhh
Shuffle up the buffal...
Shuffle up the buffaloes

Old buffaloes never die
Never die, never die
Old buffaloes never die
They simply fade away

How do you do all you buffaloes, how do you do (how do you do)
How do you do all you buffaloes, how do you do (how do you do)
It's the same old sweet refrain
As the buffaloes play the game
How do you do all you buffaloes,
how do you do

They all played a jolly good game, parlez vous
They all played a jolly good game, parlez vous
They all played a jolly good game but buffaloes beat them all the same
Inky pinky parlez vous

How do you do all you buffaloes, how do you do (how do you do)
How do you do all you buffaloes, how do you do (how do you do)
It's the same old sweet refrain
As the buffaloes play the game
How do you do all you buffaloes,
how do you do

Old buffaloes never die
Never die, never die
Old buffaloes never die
They simply fade away
They simply fade away
They simply fade away

There's a few original theme songs up north but this is definitely the best.
