Oscar Allen was who had foot issues that was going to keep him out of all the finals series. He flew with the team but was zero chance of ever playing. We just wanted to neader to the fact we may take Hickey out to bring him in essentially and keep teams guessing. By seasons end he had both a quad injury and a small fracture in his foot but played through it until he worsened his quad in the last home game of the year

Just think guys, From the bye onwards he wasnt at 100%. Far from it. Imagine what he will do next year at 100%. Exciting to think about

With our run of lower leg injuries there's no way we'd play one of our most promising talents through a foot fracture when Vardy was available in the twos.

He speaks so well. If my son stood up in front of a crowd and spoke like that at his age I don't know if I'd be more proud of his footy achievements or the confidence in public speaking!

Im probably wording it wrong. Its the idea of a hot spot etc. Same thing what Willie had for 2 weeks before we turfed him for 3 months. Willie tried to play through it, Oscar did the same

The idea Vardy is a replacement for Allen too is well way off. Allens a bit more rated then that. We are in premiership mode so we took the risk. Obviously our medicos knew what they were doing ie. cant make it worse, and if it does he can just heal later anyway
