Don't know what to make of all the conspiracies but things really went downhill for him after that position swap at Monza. Thought at the time that wasn't something a champion would do

Nah they're conspiracies without proof lol
But let's say they're true. Didn't that position swap kind of signal to his team he's okay with getting the no. 2 driver treatment? I reckon he would regret it now

You don't know what to make of conspiracy theories, but you get into that?

We don't know what contract Piastri is working under. Do you really think he was ok with Monza?

For me, I'd love to know what the aftermath was at McLaren after Norris' engine blew.

Yep, that weird smile from Stella when Lando's engine crapped itself was telling. A very odd reaction to say the least.
Sort of like, no matter what we do, our annointed one, Lando, keeps giving up points to Oscar.

Things changed dramatically after that race with Oscar's clear decline in car performance. His pit strategies were already heavily compromised; for example when they pitted him early at Imola into a swathe of traffic to screw him over.

While he's had some bad luck, lukewarm support from the team, and questionable decisions by the FIA, not being able to get a podium in the last six races in the best car on the grid is just not good enough if he wants to be WDC. Hopefully he keeps learning and improving.

Unless he wants to chase the cash like Riccardo and become for a meme then a F1 driver, he has to just suck it up. F1 has always been more politics and backroom agreements then actual talent

Agreed, unless he can get a No.1 drive at Mercedes or Red Bull, just stay where he is and take the hit for this season. I'm sure Lando is flakey enough to have a "premiership hangover" for next season.

Part of the issue is, which I'm sure you know, is that the new regulations for next year mean that any team could be the fastest.

Second issue would be Lando being anointed as driver one, regardless of what Papaya BS rules they want to put out there.

Oscar's had a great season and will be WDC at some point, he's young enough, personally, I'm not sure with which team.
