I’d say it’s far more about their inability to perform against their opponents yet rather than some idea of increased injury risk.
If that were the case, steene wouldn't have got a game. He wasn't banging down the door, it was a last resort decision and luckily he can jump. Let's face it, besides his leap, he wasn't offering much else. Do you think he was competitive against Grundy outside the throw up?. Injury risk is definitely part of the equation ,especially for big guys.

That’s contradictory- if injury risk was a reason not to play him, along with him not offering anything, that’s more of a reason not to play him. Finis
