Speaking of airports I caught the plane to Perth last weekend and in Melbourne I "fortunate" enough to embark and disembark at Gate 13.
Anyone ;) who thinks the gates are too far away at Adelaide airport should try using this one.
Lucky I took a packed lunch and a tracker.

Yeah stupid LADY, doing her job AND keeping passengers SAFE. The WORLD is against YOU NSW CROW.

Dont complain about that too much when I look at my flights for the day and it says okay you have a plane leaving gate 7 at 1415 and your next plane is arriving on gate 13 at 1415 and you have to walk across there in 39 degree heat that is hard yakka;) Nah it is a long walk I say that part of the terminal is Tullamarine North:p

Nick thanks for flying a world class airline also:thumbsu:

Now on a more serious note on this award Ive stepped back and thought about it a bit during the day, okay I think it would actually be disapointing if Adelaide didnt win this award for a few reasons:

Close proximty of the terminal to the runway I would have to say it is the best 'design' benefit of the new terminal.

Other reason is Adelaide doesnt have the flights other major airports have and congestion issues which in a way is great not only for people but airlines also as they havent got a plane lined up for a takeoff slot burning fuel for nothing.

Well you rich tourists will pay the taxes for the residents there then.
TBH Swiss residents actually pay quite high tax rates, tax haven = Liechtenstein. I don't know why ppl get confused with this, maybe a bit of the old chinese whispers, but Switz. being famous for lack of money tracing.

BTW didn't find Zurich to be too expensive, bought my dinner from the Christkindlmarkt and paid about 4CHF for a nice big currywurst and brosti. That said I did pay about 6CHF for an espresso but thats only about $1 more than here though. Guess the airport is just a shit place to buy food.

Wonder which airport actually is the biggest in the world. Been to Singapore, thats a monster of a place. Same with London and Frankfurt.

Still the best airport in the world, from my short experience is Adelaide. So new, big and easy. Plus we have a Coopers Bar in our Airport. That pretty much sums up our greatness.

1. they don't. the various swiss cantons charge additional taxes, over the state taxes. many of them are quite low. if you check them out, you'll see what I am.

2. switzerland is very favourable and welcoming for non-domiciled residents.

Chicago O'hare is a monster airport with a landing or take off every 30secs Dubai is getting very big also with plans for another terminal commencing in 2010.

Singapore has just opened a 3rd terminal and 4th terminal is on the drawing board. London Heathrow has just opened a 5th terminal, John F Kennedy airport in New York is a monster airport also and add Los Angeles in aswell.

surprised the guru doesn't know the answer to this one? :p ;)

the biggest airport in the world is London Heathrow. It was the biggest, when it only had 4 terminals. the 5th terminal, opening in a week, is bigger than the other 4 terminals combined.

The Whyalla airport now has 4 flights a day to Adelaide & back & plans are in hand for a runway/terminal upgrade to accommodate larger planes plus increased passenger movement :thumbsu: :)
