No, like normal people look abit *****ed off.
Have you ever been in a position where you are expected to make a presentations to a lot of people and are very nervous? I can guarantee you that you would break out the smirks in that situation as well.

Yes he is an arrogant little **** but the smirk bit is being seriously over analysed here.

Yes I have on numerous times, but abit circumstances I would have thought Stiff. Unless the presentation was to the Parole Board.

Agreed, it's like what Carey said on FC the other night, when you're in that situation and you are embarrassed, you don't know what to do but smirk. Carey even said he most likely smirked at times when he shouldn't have.

Anyway, I don't think we'll see Cousins back until 2008. The WC leadership group supposedly didn't hold back at what they thought of the whole situation at the AFL commission last week.

Its been reported That Mr CEO and Mr Anderson have visited Mr cousins and have outlined numourous conditions Mr Cousins has to comply to to play AFL.

Now Mr Cousins has not reached third strike status, cant find anywhere him being charged with anything so am a little perplexed at just what he's done.

This meeting and conditions is I belive a unique occourence but we dont know why.

It cant be under the drug code as the AFL last year shouted long and loud about sticking to the drug code.

Has he been charged with that?

Does he need to be "charged"?? He clearly HAS brought the game into disrepute. IMO he has also clearly breached the drug code - even though he apparently hasn't been "caught". However many weeks away in an exclusive rehab facility in the US for "substance abuse" problems is proof enough for me.

You are correct in your assumption that he hasn't been charged.

However, it is widely reported that they went over to oversee the changes in his contract with one important inclusion.

That he will be targeted nearly every time he puts his footy boots on for anything untoward in his blood system. That could tell you something.

Yes and this a signifacant precedent that concerns me, we dont know if he was a regular user of substances or a binge user.

Rehab centers cover both.

Claimed he never tested positive once but the AFL is sticking it nose in but no investigation.

We dont hear about this concerning the three on two strikes and for all we know more may have got to two strikes.

What happens if Brogan belts someone again? Will port and him get the AFL sticking there nose in?

I dont like this at all, He's been singled out and I sense its a publicity thing and like what Goodwin got , made an example of because of his status.

Not because of his crime.

rayven, I believe that the AFL has stated that Cousins has been tested 14 times in his career and has not tested positive once. I will look for the link but I am pretty sure that is what they have reported. Anyone else can confirm this?

Think the number was 12 times.

Either way, he's been tested repeatedly and has apparently come up clean every time.

Then the only rational argument for the AFL's involvement is his off field behavior.

Theres a few around with a similar record but there not getting this.

Like Mr goodwin singled out.:thumbsd:

Which I believe is why the club sent a letter to the AFL asking for a please explain on how they came up with the $40,000 fine for him and yet nothing for Cousins. The AFL's response was along the lines that Cousins was a health issue and completely different and they think that they have dealt with the Cousins issue appropriately. Well duh, of course you think at the time you are dealing with something appropriately otherwise you wouldn't be doing it. :p

I actually know a worker in the break even services quite well and a fair few people in that program. The general consesus is problem gambling is a health issue. So much so theres a rehabilitation program run out of flinders medical center to help people with serious issues with gambling.

It covers "thought process" extremly signifacantly just like ben cousins rehabillitation was reported too.

I wonder who's advising messiuers CEO and anderson on health issues???

I have no qualms with Ben Cousins being "singled" out by the AFL. HE is the one that took himself off - rather publicly I might add - to an exclusive rehab facility in California for apparent "substance abuse" - what they don't have any in Australia??? HE is the one that does a pre-prepared press conference looking all tanned and movie-star like, seemingly without showing one scrap of remorse and more or less saying nothing.

How many kids idolised this man? How many parents are trying desparately to find an answer to their questions and hoping like hell their kids don't try to emulate him?

I've stated it before, and I'll say it again... His fashion sense clearly states he's still not clean, clearly!
He's wearing lower cut tops than a lady-boy in Thailand
