It is no wonder they think they can smack Ginnivan around the head with impunity this beggars belief,I thought they were bad under fat Andy but they have become worse,no longer just incompetent but bent with it.

That is a crazy precedent being set by the AFL (not that they have any consistency)

Too bad Lions can’t appeal the appeal.

No but at the tribunal you can cite precedent these days. Now anyone who says they were contesting the ball, even if the video evidence does nothing to support the claim, can bump a bloke in the head with their hip/elbow and knock them out. Cripps did.

Appalling decision by the AFL. So any player that claims to be contesting the ball and injures an opponent it’s play on. The consequences of this decision are horrific. Thuggish behaviour is being rewarded. Every team now will appeal these decisions. Lots of long Thursday nights ahead of us folks.

This one was worse than the Maynard incident.
Maynard was clearly going for the ball — in fact, made contact with the ball before anything else. It was a glancing blow to the head and I think the concussion came from the landing.
Cripps’ action was a bump, despite the lies at the Appeal, and directly caused the concussion. It’s utterly obvious.
People scoff at claims of corruption in the AFL. What, then, do they put this decision down to?
