Did a search, and i think we can happily admit we were wrong with our opinions of 'Otto. He is a genuine ruckman, and i think the record stands for itself, he came back after 2 weeks of injury in Rd 6 against the Tigers, and Geelong has won 11 in succession.

Richmond picked up Danny Meyer and Adam Pattison with picks 12 and 16, with Meyer unable to even get a game yet?? and Pattison playing reasonable footy, but far from a gun at this point. Ottens is a massive presence at the stoppages for us, he tackles as often as Gaz Jr, and creates first use for our awesome midfield. Great recruiting there, fellas, and he is only 27, at his peak as a ruckman.

Pattison is a dud.

Very happy with Otto over Pattison and Meyer, or Pattison and Beamer, or Beamer and Meyer. In fact, very happy with Otto no matter which way you cut it.

Ive always been a big fan of Ottens, and this year further proves my point. He is 80% ruck 20% forward, so recruiting him as a forward was silly.

But he is easily in the top 5 ruckmen this year, even if stats wont back me up his influence is noticable.
