- TJ is way better than Ottens. That is a no-brainer

trav = 1 time top 5 brownlow damaging midfielder

both = dissapointing careers to this stage.

Johnstone is inconsitent and is somewhat "lacking". I would rather Ottens in my team than Johnstone. FWIW KPPs are worth more than midfielders. Johnstone's career so far has been far more disappointing than Otten's career.

honestly, it's hard for me to say who i would want.

If MFC had neither, I would probably rather ottens. but that would be only because I wouldn't know much about johnno if he hadn't played for the dees and big men seem to be more valuable.

BUT

There are not many better than johnno at his best, and he is giving good signs this could be an "on" year for him. I would hate NOT to have him in my team when he's firing.

It's a toughie. But I'm happy we have Johnno, also because Ottens really owuldn't fit in THAT well at MFC.

Our defense is not bad. Losing broady was a hiccup though.

But:

Rivers - Best young Defender in the AFL by far, 20 years old and still growing
Bizzel - Excellent mid sized defender, favoured AA in 2003
Brown - One of the best small defenders in the4 league, absolutely SCREWED out of AA selection last year. name another defneder who racked up 40 possessions in a single game last year
Whelan - very solid small defender, physically damaging
Wheatley - thumping kick, good rebounder, good mark, accurate
Nicho - As much as people bag him he is still a fairly solid contributor, only really fails against hte fast mobile forwards.

I think this is going to be Johnstones' year though. His going to have a stellar season IMO.
