I can't remember the last time they lost a MUST WIN game. It was such a shock to me to watch them play like that in a game so important.
Other teams lose games they should win. Over the years I've watched with smug arrogance as the Richmonds, Collingwoods, Melbournes and Geelongs have thrown away finals chances with stupid, insipid losses at crucial stages of the year. Always safe in the knowledge that we didn't do that.
Now, we do and I am stunned....I was so certain we would belt them...what now? I don't even know what else you do in September except go to the Finals?
It's a learning curve I suppose, for all Rooboys.
Please, as supporters, lets not further lower ourselves to the level of other clubs by getting into the usual useless drivel. Pagan should not go anywhere, nor should Carey or Corey. Last nite's loss was not acceptable on any level, but we aren't St Kilda!!!
I am hoping that it was just the fact they played the game in Sydney, where we have taken a battering of late, maybe it was a mental thing.
I hope that next week they do us proud again.
I guess some discussion needs to take place about Carey. I don't know waht to say becoz I dion't think I know exactly what is wrong with the man, the real extent of his injuries, but I HATE to see him like that. Still I guess it's between him and Pagan.
