Just watchin the match in 2001. Geelong Vs Melbourne when Snell broke his ankle.

Didnt realise how bad it actually looked as i was only about 14 when it happend.

God did that look painful.

On snell does anyone know where he is these days?

My best mate is a devout Cats man and i went to watch that game - we were no more than 75 metres from Snell and heard the break as clean as a whistle. The TV stations at the time did Snell no favours by replaying the injury ad nauseum.

The look on his face as he stood on one ankle looking around the G will be etched in my mind for ever. At the time I had no idea, but now all I feel sorrow for the poor guy.

I though the lump in his sock from his leg looked pretty painful. He was doing that Cats show on Foxtel for a while, is he still doing that? I know he was completing his marketing degree so he's probably finished that now. Was very impressed when he retired that he personally replied to all the emails that were sent to him, well he replied to mine anyway. Hope he's doing well.

I remember I was sitting virtually right above him in the Southern Stand when it happened and it was absolutely shocking. I'll always remember Buddha standing over him holding his head against the ground so he didn'd look down at it.

Up there with Johnny Barnes' broken arm against Carlton for most horrific Geelong injury.
