I’ve never been a fan of Trezise but he seems like someone who the coaches love, I think he’ll play a fair bit this year

C: Hugo - Lalor - McAuliffe

1R: Nank - Taranto - Ross

Bench: Hopper, Short, Gray, Trezise, Grlj

I want Grlj in the team but with so many defenders likely to play, I can’t see how he does get the nod. We shouldn’t be playing Gibcus if Balta is fit as Carlton will have a small forward line.

Gray as 2nd Ruck, although I’m confused as to why he’s trained down back all pre season to now be given a shot at the role..? Lefau and Faull injuries?

Trezise is in because he can play multiple roles including wing and we seem to like rotating a few through the wings over the course of a game.

Will be interesting to see if Sonsie plays as he’s been a preferred wingman all pre season. He probably gets picked over Grlj
