Well I tipped the Pies to come 7th this year, so 4th is a beaut return from such a young team. I reckon Malthouse was aiming for a finals appearance but not much more, so he'd be pretty happy too.

Having said that, we have to forget the minor round. We're not in the comp to come 4th, we're in it to win. Finals chances don't grow on trees. Think of champs like Skilton and Flower playing only one or two finals in their whole careers.

Our blokes need to wake up pronto. We're playing the top side in the comp in hot form on their home turf.

Despite our recent poor form, I still reckon we can win it. we have coaching moves and strategic plans in place. Malthouse rested Rocca and Didak this week, and Molloy is better for a run. Hopefully Bucks will be right. We challenge Port whenever we play them, and we're not scared of the trip to Footy Park either.

This mob have two pretty irritating tags: "Top Dog" and "Never Won a Final". Williams is a top coach and will get his boys focussed, but those tags are a yoke to even the best sides.

Our kids have absolutely nothing to lose. Everything they do from here on in is gravy. I hope they ride their chance and nail Port at home. We're good enough, I hope we can find the form to make the match worthwhile.

We have too many poor performers in the team. Despite the usual theories that yu shouldn't mix with the team this late in the season, drastic changes are required.

O'Bree and McGough have to go. They have played poorly for months and were promoted too easily after being dropped last time. Fraser needs to play in the ruck and get some run in his legs. Burns should spend less time on the bench - if he needs a rest send him to the forward pocket.

Tarrant should be given a roving commission n the forward line and should spent all day running his opponent up the ground.

Freeborn should be benched for 80% of the game. Steinfort should be promoted to free Licuria, our best player, in to a more offensive role.

Molloy should play alongside Rocca and knock packs over to give Rocca a chance.
