Pretty much every year he goes under the knife for surgery and then has a delayed/managed pre season. Never developed a base in his earlier years due to successive broken legs. Last year he was however pretty fit and moving very nicely. This year he is once again underdone as **** and it shows, despite or perhaps exacerbated by the fact he has the 3rd most TOG for the club and 18th most for the league. He's also tried several times to be a physical presence. But when you're 30 points down and the game is a ******* wash, executing a brutal but legal bump that affects a kick doesn't do shit to change the overall situation.

His goal kicking is the SERIOUS worry. He isn't just missing the 50/50 shots but also the 70/30's, and he's missing them at times when we NEED them. It's devastating as far as both morale and the shape of the game are concerned.

As others have said, if the ball movement and spread of the player's was better he would be generating a lot more opportunities for himself and others and able to hold significant influence over the game. But even if that shit was under control his kicking would still be a worry. He has full blown yips at this stage and something has to give eventually.

God this is an awful season for him, us, and the club as a whole. To make it worse I'm also not sure how much I believe in him as an off field leader, in a time when we need that kind of leadership the most.
