Freo's record against us is overstated.
It's easy to do well in one off games when you taper your preparation for that game to make sure your in peak physical condition.

We in general play week in week out looking at the picture. The mob down the road is solely obsessed with beating us.

Some people were surprised with Freo's limp performance last week before their Grand Final.....lol

Anyone else slightly bothered by the fact Freo has had the wood over us in Derbies of late?

Nope. The Western derby is like 2 neighbors fighting over some rag (the Derby trophy) in a garbage tip (Subiaco)

In these next few years a derby win will be equivalent to a purple premiership, so i wouldn't be surprised if the flukey dominance continues

I suppose it could be worse, we could be like Adelaide who trail Port (and trailed Port for the first 10 derbies quite badly, despite being the older, more established club), yet they're catching up. I suppose it being more even makes it more interesting.

One pretty easy theory to explain their recent dominance over us is that they built their side around intense pressure on the ball carrier and double teaming opposition KPFs with Dawson/Johnson.

Basically our kryptonite.

Seeing as Sandy is due back this weekend is there any chance we could drop this weeks game,which could possibly mean losing our last 5 home & away games of the season.
