Hey one thing that has really pissed me off the last 5 years of being a member is our supporters they are weakest and most un passionate if that’s a word in the league by far. When the bombers kicked that last goal on Friday :( i thought the telstra dome was going to fall down. If that was Melbourne it would have been a clap clap clap. I give it my all yelling and trying to pump it supporters around me but they give me nothing. And a am sorry but our fans behind the goals is a piss weak attempt at a cheer squad they dont even cheer!! Fire up this week melbourne fans and let the team hear you!!!

Ps Anyone who goes to games knows what i am talking about you know you do!!

:(

The fact that we lack the numbers doesn't help, when it's QB and there are heaps of Melbourne fans there we're pretty loud but when its against the bombers at the dome you we're not going to have alot of support.

That and we don't have a whole lot to cheer about...Nonetheless, this does not prevent the good individual such as myself getting leathered in the bullring

I'd rather sit there losing the plot on a private level, and only go completely ******* when it's appropriate than be one of the <team name> *clap* *clap* *clap* brigade.

And anyone over 15 who waves a flag or uses those thunderstick things should be thrown out.

My friend and I were so out-numbered Friday night it was ridiculous and we were going nuts after Davery kicked that goal in the last (thinking we'd won). Turns out we didn't and you wouldn't believe the abuse we copped from the dons fans. To make matters worse we ran into 3 of the most stuck-up Melbourne fans you'll imagine who were laughing happily and saying how good Essondon and Scott Lucas was, whilst i was absolutely devastated. :(

It was an away game (so 11-game MFC members don't get access) and it was at Telstra Dome, which means that a lot of MCC members don't attend either.

Oh and the fact that we are going terribly and we don't have many supporters as it is.

Yeah i wholeheartedly agree here, been warned many times by security i have , for basically telling some of our supporters to pull their ****in finger out and have a dip...

You're better than me. I just get told off for swearing :D.

Really hate it when I see the ground is empty, we have a lot more supporters than it appears at times, just they are too soft to come when we are losing.
FFS I live an hour and a half from the city and have been to 7/13 games and am 50/50 on the Carlton game, and you get people who live 20 minutes away and don't go when we're travelling the way we are now.

I completely agree with this! It is one of the things that pis*ses me off the most! It makes me really sad to turn up to games week after week and always be outnumbered. When the games are at the G i sit in the MCC and always get glared at for shouting and swearing...but i'd much rather be passionate than just sit there and say 'oh well, it's only a game blah blah blah'. Sooo many people rubbish melbourne supporters saying they're at the snow etc and for the REAL supporters that turn up week after week showing passion it's just not fair. Anyway, there's my rant....

good onya Deesfanatic, I am too a MCC Member and know where your coming from. Some of the old timers actually fire up but please keep trying as I will.

i know what u guys mean. the melbourne v port and melbourne freo games are a joke. like 16 thousand at the games.

i hate the fact that fans stop going as soon as we start losing its a joke.

ive missed one game this yr ( the pies game) coz i had an exam. worst experience ever listening 2 the last qtr on the radio. and the game being in melbourne i hated it.

neway stick by the dees!

anyone going to training 2morow?

Well I have been to the footy every week this season but only seen 3 melbourne games. I took my kids to the first 2, then went to the presidents lunch on Queens Birthday.

I am so dismayed at how the whole AFL is heading with this ticky touch, netball crap, I have actually been going to watch the Northern or Eastern Football League games instead.

I pay my membership but prefer to watch the local games. At least there if there is a slight hand in the back it wont result in a free kick then possibly a 50 metre penalty.

Anyway, look at the effort the team has been putting in week in week out. At least at the local clubs the players are putting in for the club and the jumper. A few too many players on the Demons list really should have a long hard look at themselves and ask themselves, do they really want to be out there, because what they are showing is no. People dont mind losing IF the players are giving it their all, but that is not what I'm seeing this season from them.

I cannot believe the range of emotions I've recieved from the MFC this year. Anger=Richmond. Elation=Collingwood. Sadness=Essondon. Then the trio of Port, Kangas and Footscray was heart-breaking yet i admired the boys for having a dip.

Our membership is over 28,000 btw, coupled with the fact we have a truck load of MCC supporters that are not MFC members, why the hell do we still get such low crowd numbers?

i have to be honest ive missed a few games this year and have hated myself for it too..

will not miss another game i can get to this year, i think there is something to be genuinly excited about in the coming years we are going somewhere :thumbsu:

Stickmam, If your old enough to remember, demon fans went from one side of the ground to the other to watch Mark Jackson. I remember it well at Waverly.
