From what i seen last night i think our guys are back on track with their tackling, their courage, their desperation and hunger is back..

3-4 weeks ago we never had this we seemed to have lost our way, but thank god for Luke Hodge he seems to give us every thing we need to win a premiership...........

What do you guys think did you see it the same as i saw it?

Go Hawks...........

We did it at 70% capacity with major outs also. It seems as though some of the notorious softer types are beginning to fight for their spots, because when we get some of these bigger name players back...they'll be on a trip back to box hill.

Competition for spots is starting to benefit the whole team.

To win with the odds against us was meritorious indeed.
We were smashed in the clearances, unfortunately that could well be a short term reality as our in and under types are either injured (Sewell and now Bateman) or playing under duress (Mitchell IMO is nowhere near 100% at the moment).
Great signs - I keep waiting for a mid season mini slump, what with all the injuries etc but it just hasn't happened.
Or maybe it has but I just missed it...:p

we just had our mid season slump, crap against melbourne, we were just luck we played melbourne, horrible against dogs, and weren't that impressive for mine against the bombers. Last night is season defining, we are a genuine contender and i seriously think last night was the best win as a club since 01 semi final against port, yes better than last years elim final coz we were so undermanned.

Travelling OK, getting across the line, getting valuable experience into youngsters.

I dont think we are playing premiership football at the moment but we are keeping our position at the top and hopefully we can bulld into premiership form cokem finals time.

Gutsy win against the odds

you realy are pessimistic..:p

come on now we havent beaten the crows down there since 1994 and we did it last night with out our 6 of best players and a 1st gamer in the ruck..

and then loosing our best runner in batemen in the 2nd term. the guys never gave in showed passion, desperation to win and hunger and desire, i know we can play better but that was best i have seen since round 5 againts the lions........

Luke hodge comes back in and this is what happens, hodge is our god
I love Luke hodge, its as so the other players seem to lift the extra bit when he plays and breaks the lines.
its these sorts of wins that win you premierships even though my heart is still recovering from last nights win.

It was a great gutsy win but as we are travelling geelong or the doggies could easily handle us.

BUT if/when we get some of those key guys back we can challenge.

If we dont i think this year will be a creditable close thing.
