We woefully defend opposition in transition. I assume the zone defense is meant to counter that effect but there should be adjustments made so we aren't exposed as regularly

It's an annoyance but it's not that bad - because even when it seems to be bad the oppo usually doesn't score heavily eg this game. Also we got a few out the back just not as many and not as easily. Still should have won with better goal kicking.
You can't just look at something like this in isolation because typically if you improve one aspect it takes away from another part of the strategies.

We have lost a lot of experience across half back, from Johnson, Shaw, Maxwell and O'Brien.

We are in transition right now. We have the options but they need to grow up and get games. Market is going alright. Langdon is good. Scharenberg, Maynard and Marsh look promising. It's a work in progress and I think we'll get there.

It's frustrating but I think the issue of our rebound will resolve itself.

*One caveat, I'd like to see a better functioning kick in strategy.
