Since the win against Collingwood in round 4 we have gone
Win, Win, Loss, Win, Loss, Win, Loss, Win, Win, Loss, Win.

Every 5 games that have gone loss win, we have followed up with 2 wins in a row. Pretty scary stuff.
Hopefully we can break the pattern against the saints but if it follows for the rest of the season, we finish with 11 wins which may be enough for a finals appearance..

Ratten likes to squash trends and patterns in 2008, so hopefully he does it with this one :)

What about the 30-37 pt margins? Couple of losses by that amount and a couple of wins....Spooky stuff.

Rd1 30 Loss to Richmond
Rd5 33 Win Vs Melb:thumbsu:
Rd6 30 Loss to Adelaide
Rd7 37 Win Vs WCE:thumbsu:
Rd8 33 Loss to Lions
Rd12 30 Win Vs Collingwood:thumbsu:
Rd13 35 Loss to Essendon
Rd14 30 Win Vs Richmond:thumbsu:

*Rd11 12pt Win Vs Port (30pts down at 3/4):D

Wrong side of the bed???

i am not the biggest fan of the trend setting kind of talk

have a mate who loves to talk about it all the time regarding soccer etc etc and it just annoys me

in the end, lets worry about beating the saints!!!

or

how bout we talk about the trend of the saints giving us an a#s r#ping every game for the past 6 years!!!

As I understand it, we have now applied the principles of Feng Shui to the dressing room thus assuring we win the premiership this year.

That trend would be one I'd gladly give up!

best would be to break a loosing streak against the opposition they can;t beat us all the time we're due to beat the Saints by 30+ :thumbsu:

I'm sorry, but I have to point out that it sounds a bit like an Indian tribal chant.:D

Loss, win, loss, win, loss, WIN, WIN! Loss, win, loss, win, loss, WIN, WIN!:D

...I'm sorry.:p

its really simple for us. keep the oposition from scoring 100+ points and we win. If we can't then we are screwed.

hehe, I was thinking the exact same thing..
If you sing it to yourself, it can get pretty darn catchy:p
or maybe thats just me..

The way i see it is weve won games that no one gave us a chance and lost the ones that we should have grabbed.. A sure sign of a inexperienced team ON THE UP.. So if we make the finals then ill be stoked , but its not the end of the world if we dont .... Everything has pretty much gone to plan this year, the boys are starting to get the thirst for blood ....

A more interesting trend i like to look at going into the St.Kilda game is, in ALL our losing games the opposition has scored over 100pts, in ALL our wins, the opposition hasn't reached 100.

St.Kilda don't kick as many goals as they once did, infact the Saints have only scored over 100 points on 4 occasions this year, providing them with 4 wins.

The key to next weeks win, is a strong strong backline. Remember, St.Kilda's mids don't kick goals, ours are very capable of it. Keep the saints below 100 and were a great chance :thumbsu:
