Having said that, Chad will be the better CHB if he's left there to develop.

Feel free to bookmark. ;)

Kenny also having been played as a forward originally.

He only really became a CHB in 2003.

I didn't know Shattock was no good, he has always looked ok to me. I will take your word for it, you would see more of him that what I do. On your assessment, we'll leave him alone.

Notting is a different story however, I really rate the guy. Would Brisbane take a 2nd rounder for him? Not sure if Brisbane would be keen on any of our 2nd string midfield (Bode, Doughty, Ladhams etc) or key position players (Perrie, S Stevens) so it would come down to draft picks or getting a 3rd club involved.

He moved to backlines much earlier than that - was 2003 when you first started watching us?

Don't get me wrong. Shattock is an excellent player and if given game time, he's going to develop into an excellent midfielder. Can play up forward or in the middle but the middle is his best. However as we have youngsters like Hadley etc who are going to stay in the team and have a few players to come back, he's going to find it hard to get back in.

Notting and second rounder. No deal. He's worth more than that sorry.

Not very strong on facts are we??????

First it was Doughty made his debut in 2002 then it was Doughty averaged 20 odd possesions in 2002 now McGregor only really became a CHB in 2003.

McGregor was moved to backline much earlier than that and really became a CHB in 2002 after he came back from a strained medial ligament to take on Jonathan Brown in a game against Brisbane at Footy Park. He got beaten in the first half and came back strongly in the 2nd half to completely shut down BRown. He never looked back since.

Actually, Perrie and McGregor swapped around CHB a lot at that time.

I suppose if you're going to argue that McGregor became CHB in 2002, then I will argue that Cornes became CHB in 2002, because he played on Jon Brown in one game and beat him.

I'm sorry I'm not as 'exact' on the facts as you. I don't obsessively have them in my head.

Actually its arguable that Cornes played as a loose backman in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 given how far down the field he went to get his marks in the years before he was 'recognised' as a backman. He was often picking up marks in the defensive 50.

Showed in his low tallies of goals every season.

Perrie was played as a CHB until McGregor recovered from his knee injury which if Memory serves me correctly was in round 9. It was definetly against Brisbane. McGregor has been our CHB since that game and never looked back.
