Agree with Curnow & we allegedly committed to elevating Bell at the end of this season when his contract was negotiated last year.

I think you will find Mick likes what Warnock offers as a ruckman & this is why I believe Hampson will be traded.

Think you may be right on Warnock, I just don't see us getting value for Hammer and think we can cash in on Nocka. ..

Hey, if Buddy is out there talking, why not throw the bus at him?????

His old man is a dickhead, and he lives in/and/or around Doncaster.

We have done it so, so, so many times before.

Seriously.

When Mick was interviewed in the rooms after the game, he said he'd like more matured aged, experienced mids to bolster up the midfield. Said these types of players are hard to get, but that is what he is looking for. The side needs to create more run, which has been a problem all season.
Possessions have been down, and need to improve.

Anyone know the contract status for all these possible delisted players that have been mentioned in this thread? If they have contracts that are current, they would have to be paid out?

Question- when does this free agency caper happen? Mick said in his presser that the list would largely be decided by Wednesday, does this mean that ill know if Eddie is staying or going by Wednesday?

As much as our list needs to change I dont know that you can make 10+ changes in just one year, if thats what is radical change is.
Reckon you can:

Delist: Davies, Joseph, Laidler, Mitchell, McCarthy (possible re-rookie)
FA Out: Betts
Trade: Yarran, Lucas & Hampson/Warnock
Retirement: Scotland

Still not sure about Duigan either - not sure if one good game against Richmond will save him.

Delist Joseph, ellard, Davies, Duigan, mitchell, Collins, Okeefe, F Dale, Casboult ?

Potential trade chips : Garlett, Hampson, Warnock, Armfield, Lucas, Robinson, Laidler, Curnow, McLean, Yarran, Kreuzer?, White.

FA's out : Betts

Retirement : Scotland, Waite ?

Half the list is suspect so making 10 changes would be piss easy.

I'd honestly be amazed if Betts was still at Carlton next year.
It's alot of money being offered by Adelaide for a 27 year old predominantly stay at home small forward.
Carlton just won't match their offer IMO.
Don't forget North who are offering 500k and he wouldn't have to leave Melbourne.

Why did it seem like our players were not running to create passing opportunities/space in tonight's game?
Are they lazy, tired or do not know where to run to?

I posted here earlier but if you guys want a true power forward and you guys do i thought you guys could of won tonight if you guys had a power forward. Krezuer is the guy i would look to trade, you guys say you want Boyd and GWS is open to trade the 1st pick, and what do GWS need? A ruck man, why not trade Krezuer who didn't play tonight and won't play 22 games in a season, i don't see why you guys can't just play Warnock as your number 1 ruck man. I don't know why you guys don't want to do this trade? If you guys had Krezuer tonight would he really made much of a difference? But if you guys had a gun power forward, he could of brought the ball to ground and when you have Garlett and Betts etc crumbing you guys can be more efficient.

Imagine how slow we will be if their replacements are Graham, Menzel and Temay.

Just throw the baby out with the bathwater and start a rebuild around Kreuzer, Henderson, Gibbs, Murphy, Watson, Bootsma and Menzel.

I guess these players we criticise will get us market value in trade week. Beats me how that works. o_O

Hope we don't go for Boyd or Ptton unless we are going for a full blown rebuild. Can't win against the best if our midfield is conceding 100 more disposals like it is now.

Yarran won't be traded if you take anything out of Micks presser but Lucas is far from safe.

This opens the door for Thomas, have to wonder who else Mick has a eye on? He is well known for plucking players and having them play a roll and do it well under him, will there be a few Collingwood players joining Carlton or will it be someone who no one has mentioned and will have us all talking about why Carlton got him until he starts playing that roll..
