D.Thomas F/A
S.Selwood Trade
X.Ellis F/A
B.Staker Trade
C.Sylvia F/A
A.krakouer Draft
8 Drafties/ other trades and or F/A
Also wouldn't Mind throwing a bit of cash dustys way.

Team looks like this

B. McInnes (21) Jamison (27) Simpson (30)
HB. Touhy (24) Watson (22) Walker (27)
C. Gibbs (25) Judd (30) Thomas (27)
HF. Vince (28) Henderson(24) Sylvia (28)
F. Menzel (19) Waite (30) Garlett (25)
FOL. Warnock (27) Murphy (26) Carrazzo (30)
INT. S.Selwood (24) Kreuzer (25) Robbinson (25)
SUB. McClean (28)

Good things about the team.
1. 10 Players in Simpson, Walker, Touhy, Vince, Sylvia, Garlett, Menzel, Selwood, McLean, Robbinson who can rotate through the middle.
2. The Average age of that side is 26 years old which i think is a good balance of youth and experience.
3. The Depth would be Fairly Decent With the likes of Krakouer, Ellis, Staker, Rowe, Casboult, Bootsma, Graham, White, Curnow and Cachia.
4.Still allows for us to recruit a few good drafts with so many delisting.

Bad things.

Simpson, Judd, Waite and Carrazzo all being 30 means they are getting very close to the end. in saying that all could play another 3 years, giving us plenty of time to find replacement.
Xavier Ellis is terrible. Don't want him at Carlton. Also, where is Alex Silvagni? Would love to have him at Carlton :p. Maybe trade Ellard for Silvagni?

I don't think we could get him, Adelaide will want to hold on to him, the offer would have to be major overs to pry him out
Can't see us trading our B&F winner and our spiritual leader who is likely to be co-captain with Dangerfield in the very near future

From our stable I would say McKernan, Vince, Porplyzia, MacKay, Henderson, Tambling and Lyon could all be on the trade market for one reason or another

Here we go ...

OUT : Walker Yarran Laidler Collins Betts O'Keefe Hampson Mitchell Scotland Davies Duigan Dale White Joseph Ellard .

IN : Tom Lynch (GC) , Dale Thomas (COLL) , Reece Conca (RICH) , Luke Shuey (WC) , Brent Staker (BRIS)
IN : National Draft X 5
IN : Rookie Draft X 5

How it works :

IN : Tom Lynch ... OUT : Andrew Walker , Jeremy Laidler
IN : Dale Thomas ... OUT : Eddie Betts
IN : Reece Conca ... OUT : Sean Hampson , ND Round 1 pick 13
IN : Luke Shuey ... OUT : Chris Yarran , David Ellard
IN : Brent Staker ... OUT Simon White
IN : Melbourne fc ND Round 3 pick ... OUT : Nick Duigan

Why it works :

Guy McKenna has publicly stated he believes GC are 1 quality experienced running HB flanker away from having thier list ready for a premiership assault . Walker ticks all the boxes and GC could also use another hardnut defender ... Laidler .
Goes without saying Carlton desperately need a quality KPF ... Lynch .

Thomas/Betts ... basically FA 1 in 1 out .

Richmond havnt signed Martin/Conca , obviously thier salary cap is tight . They also need another ruckman as Maric has had to shoulder a heavy load alone .
Carlton need another quality/hard mid and can afford to loose a ruckman , Hampson alone isnt enough but coupled with ND pick 13 could get it done .

MM has stated we need more midfield depth , Shuey delivers this and is a victorian boy .
Yarran is a WA boy and would be well suited to subiaco , also allows Ellard to return home to WA .

Carlton is rumored to be interested in Staker , a Staker/White swap is no big deal either way ??

Roos knows Melbourne need experienced leadership , Duigan is no star but fits the bill here and a third round ND pick sounds about right .

Simpson Watson Jamison
Touhy Henderson Bootsma
Thomas Gibbs Shuey
Menzel Lynch Conca
Garlett Waite Kruezer

Warnock Robinson Bell
Judd Curnow Graham
Murphy etc etc etc

Btw, as if adelaide would trade their b and f winner. Cut that talk out. They wouldn't even take yaz and lucas fir him
This. They would ask for our first rounder to and rightly so.
I would love us to go after Adams. Just a massive fan for some reason reminds me of a better version of Foley. I would offer First rounder and Warnock for him and pick 19 which they won't need to use. Doubt that they would go for it but. If we could add Adams and Thomas it instantly strengthens our midfield and then we could start plugging holes around the ground.

This thread is a toilet. The toilet that was in Trainspotting.
You keep posting in it though. Maybe you could add to the discussion instead of whinging everytime somebody thinks about trading one of your favorites.

Can Henderson play in the midfield ?
Absolutely, apart from VB and Kerridge he has one of the biggest engines at the club.

He has played HB, HF or wing in his time at the club, personally I like him on the wing

It's difficult to find 6ft2 wingman with all the tools, good over head, good foot skills and can kick a long goal

Rumour is that he needs to be closer to home to take care of his family

Hhhmmmm I said in a post earlier today that the next few months would be interesting times on these boards, but holy moly I didn't expect it to be less than 24hrs after our last game of football played sheesh.
I replied to an Adelaide poster earlier who came here asking about Yazz, I gave him an answer that was a bit tongue in cheek RE Sloane, the crows will NOT let him go, for them to even consider it, it would cost us huge.

That said though, Rory is the exact type of two way midfielder we need, does anybody know if these types grow on trees???

Sounds great. Not sure that we would be able to match Adelaide's price for him. Would like Carlton to consider him at least. Sad to hear about his family since I can relate to that.
