Pick 40 is a good pick for the best ruckman we have?
Really?? I'm open to the idea of trading any of our ruckmen (even Kruezer if an amazing deal was offered) but only for value - pick 40/60 for contracted genuine ruckmen in 24-27 yr age bracket are 'shit' picks - in that situation, Id rather keep all 3 and lose one next year for a 'shit' pick
Good ruckman in recent times have got for between picks 30 and 40 (Jacobs, Macintosh, Maric) - all somewhat injury prone and not champion ruckmen at their clubs - its roughly market price - and sounds worse when you say pick 40 instead of "second round pick".

Absolutely, apart from VB and Kerridge he has one of the biggest engines at the club.

He has played HB, HF or wing in his time at the club, personally I like him on the wing

It's difficult to find 6ft2 wingman with all the tools, good over head, good foot skills and can kick a long goal

Rumour is that he needs to be closer to home to take care of his family
Hmm L Henderson marks, kicks to R Henderson, back to L Henderson. Hmm...

What do you think he is worth?

Hmm we got stooged for Jacobs, the other 2 were either not working out/injured.

Gee Adelaide trying to stooge us again - E Betts.

Not really stooged on Jacobs - we got 33 and 67 (McCarthy and McInnes)

In terms of injury, Warnock is no spring chicken with a guaranteed 22 games in him next season.

Sounds great. Not sure that we would be able to match Adelaide's price for him. Would like Carlton to consider him at least. Sad to hear about his family since I can relate to that.
There are rumours in Adelaide that your club are interested in both Henderson and McKernan

McKernan is badly homesick to the point of depression and I believe that he will only reach his true potential if he returns home.

Adelaide is desperately keen to get back into the 2nd round so a second round pick for either would come under strong consideration

Rumour is also that Mitch Robinson has also been shopped to Adelaide however I'm not sure how much legs this really has, personally I love his aggression but his ball use is a real concern

What's the story on Yarren from a far he looks unhappy and out of sorts and is exactly what Adel need running of HB, would love to see him and Betts at my club as we have plenty of inside mids like Danger, Thommo, Sloane and Crouch we just need some outside class

To suggest mckernan has any potential is a fair stretch. I watched him struggle in the sanfl against part timers despite being twice their size. Pass.

R Henderson has been on the cows list for several years and has never cemented his spot, couldn't get a game when they were stinking. Why would he be any different at Carlton?
Do you expect to grab a Gary Ablett every trading period? Versatile player who can play on the wing, back and forward sounds like he would be a great get. I've seen him play a couple of times too and looks like can play to me.

A few people may not be keen on this, but we can be done with Casboult imo. Should be delisted Wednesday.

Worst kick in the AFL bar none. Too scared to mark it in case he has to kick it.

I'd take a project tall over him every day of the week unfortunately.

MM doesn't seem to rate our current list too highly so I can suspect he will hold on to Yarran since Simpson and Scotland aren't exactly getting younger unless we get a really good offer for him. Don't know about Mckernan but I won't judge other teams players too harshly just because they play for a different jumper. Robinson getting shopped around doens't surprise me but it will difficult to work out a player for player swap with him.

I thought he had potential but he didn't even look like he wanted to be out there unfortunately.

Such a shame, I thought he was going to be a star. I was really disappointed in his efforts last night.

Again as I said

He wanted to come home prior to signing his last contract however his Brother talked him into staying as he has always regretted not being a one club player

However shortly after agreeing to a new contract he really struggled with homesickness in a real bad way and I have no doubt that this has had a massive impact on his footy

I don't disagree with you that he has had some ordinary games but he has also had so really influential games where he has kicked 5, 6 or 7 games in a sanfl side which has a really poor midfield

At AFL level he has been a mixed bag, does some freakish stuff followed by some stuff that he would like to forget

For me the talent is there, he is still only 22 so he will mature and getting back home will do wonders for his footy

Happy for us to keep Yarran, but want the club to throw a bit of money at McLeod to show him what he did in the 1997 pre-season to go from a good handy player to the best player in Adelaide's history. Yarran and McLeod have similar physical attributes, and Yarran arguably has a better bag of tricks.

Shame his tackling trick doesn't work.

Give ya Yarran for Brodie Smith!!;)
bodie Smith will be a key for us getting Polec as they are extremely close mates

I think you will find Danger, Sloane, Crouch, Thompson, Talia, Walker, Smith, Douglas and Jacobs would be our untouchables, the rest would be open for discussion

Which highlights how highly i rate Yarran in the raw talent category (flick, kick, skip style tricks). Real shame he hasnt put it all together at afl level.

To me, Macca was less about tricks, and more about hard running talented football. Didnt have it on a string, but always used it well, and played for the team.

You got to play that kid in the middle, booming kick like that seems wasted in defence.
Where is Matty Wright at? Will he be looking for opportunity elsewhere?

Really thought 2013 would be his year......and he didnt get anywhere near the lofty heights i had pegged him at.
