how would you like to to take him?

In the draft? or in the PSD?
Well I'm no expert on either the drafting stuff or Lambert himself, but from what I have seen and read (and his week after week performances in the VFL speak for themselves) I wouldn't be too unhappy nabbing him even later on in the draft, if he's available.

Everitt will not happen. 51 is not enough and 32 is too much. Would need us to get a very late 2nd round for a deal. This is what we probably want for Bootsma but Weagles don't have one.

You're forgetting the possibility for a swap of picks to be involved in a deal.

We could get away with 32 for Everitt and 35 or 39. Could also add a late pick to even it up.

Updated with some contract assumptions:

You can have 38 to 40 senior players depending on whether you 4 or 6 rookies on your list. I personally expect we'll have 6 rookies.

Updated with some contract assumptions:
Sounds like Duigan has been cut.

Despite suggestions in the media, I can't see any advantage to having Scotty as a nominated rookie vs being on the senior list, as we can just change the structure (39+5 vs 38+6). If he's a rookie, 50% of his salary is outside the cap, but he would surely lose veteran status as he would need to be delisted, then redrafted as a rookie. As a Vet, we should save $112.5k. He should not be on more than $200k, so it doesn't make sense to delist.

That leaves 9 picks total, hard to know if we'll go 4 ND and 5 rookie or the other way round.

All good.

IN: Thomas and Docherty + 32
OUT: Hampson and Betts + 33.

Winners! Now to the draft!

Don't forget Ciaran Byrne. Cost us nothing but for many hours work and some good scouting..............You never know. (See Tuohy, Hanley)

We've done well. I'm happy.

Could just suck it up and stay with us.
If he is willing to buy into Micks' plans then he would have a home, but in the lead up to trade week we saw that he wasnt that interested in buying into Micks' plan and rediscovering himself as a medium forward.

If he does end up staying, I suspect that he will be playing in the VFL for the year. Unless we have a blight of injuries in the third tall dept.
