We ll draft midfielders again. But a lot riding on Brayshaw and Cerra’s back. Expecting a fair bit of them. Which is unfair in this time of development.
Also North, Bewley, Sturt can develop.
Expecting Bewley to play Round 1. But I don’t get the hype of having an A grade midfield. For me it’s always the forward line. Freo have had some great midfield but poor/working class forward line.
West coast showed that. Just have foot soldiers- Redden, Hutchings, Masten. Shuey and Yep arguably their A graders. For us that’s Fyfe and Munda. Don’t forget they didn’t have Gaff either.
A midfield of Fyfe, Mundy, Cerra, Brayshaw complimented by Langdon, Hill/s and Bewley will be alright. North can come in.
Tbh Would be amazing if Stephen Hill was 100%.
We really just need a tackling weapon that can protect the kids, Fyfe. There’s always that one under the radar player that does the dirty work- ala Hutchings and Adams/Treloar. For me that can be Banfield. He can tag the opposition’s best midfielder as well as damage the scoreboard.
Not all doom and gloom. But a fair bit riding on Fyfe dominating and Mundy expected to be of vintage, whereas he’s getting by in age. Combined with a sharp increase in development for Cerra and Brayshaw. A lot of players have to stand up and soon.
