Saw Kruzer at a cafe in Jan Juc. No tape on the knees. Lock him in for the Brownlow :p

All jokes aside looked fit.

Pics on the bike up in QLD, which was a heavy training mode previously for him, maybe on the return from reco?
Turning over the rehab, and quoted as being right for round 1, hopefully running out for a JLT or 2.

Honestly looked like he just jumped out of the beach when I saw him.

It will be interesting again if Phillips gets a good run at it. I rate him also but injury has been horrible

Flip does show something out there, was pretty good against WCE last year IIRC. Injury cursed but also needs to get a bit more involved over the entire match and contests to push for the #1 mantle. Looks to have the strength in the upper body to compete.

Key takeaways:

- Why the **** are we gang-tackling players into the turf at training? There's an easy way to **** up Samo's AC joint for a couple of months o_O
- Walsh's constant movement to provide an option for Fisher and then the burst speed to get away from Cottrell
- The power in Samo's legs is back :greenalien:
- Cuningham's acceleration

Fisher still up to his evasive tricks. He's not super quick, but he is super tricky and has a very good side-step. Thrilled what he'll keep brining to this team.

As you say, there's definitely power in SPS's movement that didn't seem to be there last year. Huge positive going forward.

Didn't mind that little video at all. Can't wait for the nippy goal-kickers one. :)

Our midfield looks awesome (in 2020). We just have to see what we get this year.

Crossing everything.
Yes it is starting to look deeper.....
we can see the hole Gibbs left plus we missed Sheil....
We got Cripps,Murphy,Ed......Kennedy should work well in 2019.....might surprise[he has to find some confidence[ and ticking the boxes with 25 possessions week in week out ..i think Fisher can also provide a work rate in 2019....Samo to help out at time in middle
Dow ....top draft but will still be a way off................2019 can he provide 20 possessions a game every game?[it is a must]
OBrein also could be an Agrade player but still too early to call it can he provide 20 possessions in every game?
Setterfield looks solid but just too early to call anything............maybe he would be more effecive than Dow and get us 20-25 possessions a game,he is lanky tall and strong and could probably easily make an Agrade player if he plays every game in 2019- fingers crossed
Newman could slot into midfield ...he could easily pick up 20 possessions regularly
Walsh will be a gun...already he is working very hard......great work rate and will provide honorable stats from every game he gains i think he can already provide 20 possessions a game now in the Afl especially if he gets a weaker opposition
Cunners should be Agrade or genuine Agrade depth and in our 22....skills,speed and works...he has had some injuries past few years but apparently has ticked all the boxes this preseason and has to have a crack at lifting his stats in every game 2019 and having an impact....

Our midfield is looking solid, probably need one more inside mid and a elite outside runner, but we are getting there.

Forward line looks glorious on paper but we will see how it really performs as the yer goes no.

Won’t be playing round 1 if so he won’t be anywhere near 100%. He’s only just started running and light drills apparently. Not what you want from a preseason.
Glad to hear that , sick of him kicking a bag against us.

On our end, enter: Mitch McGovern, Will Setterfield and Samuel Walsh
With honourable mentions to Michael Gibbons, Alexander Fasolo and Nicholas Newman.

Vastly different team, looking forward to it.
Round 1 changes 2019 (likely)

Carlton
OUT: Wright, lamb, mullett, Byrne, Marchbank, Garlett, Casboult
IN: Walsh, Gibbons, McKay, Polson, Newman, Setterfield, McGovern

Richmond
OUT: Caddy, Ellis, Ellis, Grigg, Castagna, Townsend
IN: Broad, Rioli, Prestia, Higgins, Bolton, Houli

Not a lot of difference between 2018/2019 Richmond but a hell of a lot had changed for blues. Hopefully we don’t get 1-2 in game injuries. Might be time Richmond have us a leg up on the injury front.

If Lynch isn't fit and they play him that will probably work in Carlton's favor. He's going to need to be able to run or he will be ran off and towelled up. He's coming in as an upgrade to Caddy who is still there so I would think Lynch misses and Caddy continues on from his role last season until Lynch is fit. If Richmond gamble and play an unfit Lynch then bring it on I say.

Think Caddy will be missing with injury

Edit: touch & go for round 1 (thought I’d heard something else and 1st few rounds were to be missed).

Caddy and Lynch missing or underdone would be huge for Richmond. Both are their genuine full forward options and earmarked as significant goal kickers. Would put a lot of pressure on the little blokes, Riewoldt and Martin to wander down there and kick a few.

I think that one thing that has been missed is even with injuries picked up early in the pre season, near every best 22 mid has had a really good few months. I expect the midfield to be humming come round 1
