What is the criteria you are basing your thoughts on here ??
Very simple, he'd be the last guy I want missing from the line-up.

If Watson can hold down CHB, then he might be our most important player.

Henderson forward thanks.

That will still make Hendo more important RK and for that lovely scenario to happen Watto will need to work his butt off (LOL) over summer so that he always has a match up. As I said in post-game thread - his Drugsters namesake completely changes his body shape over one summer (pre-drugs?)

Shhhhhhhhhh!

:rainbow:

Apart from that one error, Watson's kicking is better than anything we've had in our backline since Yarran. Looked more comfortable up the ground with some of his spoils on the move. Still needs to improve his body work and agility.

This is what surprised me tonight. I mean i shouldn't be surprised, but he used it brilliantly and without fuss.

He doesnt panic, and has full faith in his teammates. Countless times he'd get the ball out of congestion to a player in space with the use of his kick and vision. Even a more reliable kick then Henderson.

Henderson it is!!

Jamison declares Hendo our most important

Lachie Henderson has become Carlton's most important player and the equal of any swingman in the AFL, teammate Michael Jamison says.
In the absence of injured spearhead Jarrad Waite, usual backman Henderson was swung forward with devastating effect in the Blues' 36-point win over St Kilda. He achieved career-best tallies of marks (12), contested marks (seven), marks inside 50 (six), contested possessions (10) and goals (four).

Henderson's haul of contested marks tally equalled the greatest recorded this season, alongside Waite's effort against the Brisbane Lions in round nine.
The 23-year-old had previously been thrown forward only occasionally mid-match this season, most effectively in the narrow round seven loss to the Saints when he kicked three final-quarter goals to give the Blues a chance of victory.

I've thought about the question posed in this thread and I've come to the conclusion we don't have one right now. There is a certain type of player missing at our club who would genuinely be classified as 'our most important player', in fact I believe we are missing about 3-4 of them at a minimum.
